Missed call last night

It's a moot point now, but if the Spurs had won, Sacramento would have had a valid complaint.

I mentioned it in my game report, but am re-watching the game right now.
At 9:10 in the 2nd quarter, Bruce Bowen is forced out of bounds and a foul should have been called, but wasn't so it was a turnover. It should have been Sacramento ball. Spurs called a timeout and when they got back, the Spurs had possession.

I watched closely, no timeout was called until after the turnover but on the play-by-play, it's only listed as a timeout.

Are you sure another player without the ball wasn't calling timeout?

I know they didn't explain it when they came back from the commercial, but I thought that's what happened. (Even though the announcers originally said Kings ball)

I just re-watched it, I saw Pop call the timeout after he saw that it was a turnover. And I watched all the players, none of them called a timeout.

Well they must have figured out something when they went to commercial. Because it looked like that it was originally called turnover/Kings ball and then obviously they switched it. Something must have happened for them to switch it. Maybe someone signaled it and we just didn't see it. Or maybe they just decided he was forced out (thus Spurs ball) and then just gave the Spurs the timeout Pop called.

That is odd. I was too drunk at the time to even catch that, but I do remember the play involving Cisco and Bowen.

Misti, I hear ya, but that happened in the second period. I assume that blown calls happen throughout every game on both sides. It certainly wasn't a game breaker call. But I think its cool that you were there live to observe it for what its worth.

I would like to see Rasho's three again though- now that I know that was him. :)

Nice catch. We were wondering how the Spurs got the ball in that situation. I certainly never saw Bruce call timeout. Would the game play by play be accurate enough to check if that was a mistake or not?
