Well I still hate the lakers and hope they do the biggest choke job in history over the next 3 games.
I had to leave the house I was so pissed and I am by no means a Suns fan.
Same here man. I'm a Laker Hater first and foremost.
Of course, I do respect Kobe's game. ANd I Find it hard to Hate Luke Walton, and Lamar. I like Lamar actually. Actually I only hate Brian Cook, but he's too much of a douche to hate, i just laugh at him...but yeah, I will always hate the Lakers. They're the damn Yankees of the NBA...where everyone outside of SoCal want to see them LOSE! Even though right now, the scrubs, I like their efforts.
while, Spurs just run the organization kinda like tthe ...Yankees. Actually, they're more like the bizarro Yankees because the veterans that jump onboard had their teams' quit on them...

We were ALL wrong about the Lakers. The Suns were wrong about the Lakers, even the Spurs (who wanted to meet them instead of us).
I personally hate the Lakers, but P-Jax's ingenius scheme has worked and the biggest miracle of all is that he was able to sell Kobe on it. Maybe Kobe was just pissed enough that the Suns would rather meet the Lakers (sans Nash & Bell in last regulation game) that he was willing to do whatever it took to WIN.
I give the Lakers loads of credit, and in particular P-Jax. Kobe could never have thought up this diabolical plan - to let others step up - all on his own, lmoa.
That was the best game of the first round. Even if you are a Laker Hater, all you gotta do is appreciate the game and you were very involved with that game in the end.
Lakers-SALUTE!

Lakers suck. I just want the embarassment of the "back-to-back MVP" losing in the first round.
But Kobe and Phil are scary. They can't possibly win three series in the post-season, though.

Lakers-SALUTE!Seriously Phil Jackson should not have been underestimated. Had we got them he would have played mind tricks against us. He's doing it against a more talented squad. The Suns regular season wins came with the gameplan, "we just got to let Kobe get his, while we contain the other team" well that backfired. They said that in one of their postgames that that was how they beat the Lakers. Phil sat Kobe out and showed him the options to win and thrive in the first round. They're doing it. The only thing Suns can do is have D-Antoni try and respond..but he can't. He can't hold Phil's jockstrap. :lol I really hope the Suns wake up and believe against the Lakers. At least put up a fight.

Nash was fouled, James Jones was found at the end of regulation. Bennett Salvator is the most pathetic excuse for space on the planet. Phil Jackson said he told Salvator they were going to foul. They did and Salvator decided to ignore it...and the timeout. He just made bank in Las Vegas.

Come on, we all knew the Suns were lame ducks without the firepower of Amare and the shooters Richardson and Jackson heating it up from 3. That team is poorly constructed for any kind of playoff success. The Lakers just stepped up their play like any playoff team should, and the Suns don't match up with that lineup.

Oh, and Kobe sat on 5 fouls for most of the fourth quarter. He nailed Bell in the face with his elbow trying to back in. Marion cleanly block Oden to get him on the bench.

ESPN news said it was a foul...so it was a pretty glaring call..but that's Playoff basketball, gotta win by comfortable margins when the pressures on. It really sucks.

With this lineup they are poorly constructed, but with Amare and Kurt Thomas healthy and in the lineup they are an elite team. You can't blame how they built the team--only that the pieces are hurt.

Man, I miss Amare's game...Well not against the Spurs, but their 8 new players aren't reacting well. They forced their shots in the last 2 games, and only just now stepped up. Marion IS fucking USELESS in Playoff's, only today was he actually stepping up. Diaw is a great player, who just needs to step up. They are pretty much the same type of squad.

Does anyone find it ironic that the Benito Salvatore and Ken Mauer crew were involved in the Spurs close loss the other night as well as the Suns loss today? If referees can keep games this close and then blow calls at the end, they should not be officiating playoff games. Let's see if that group referees the next close game that could go either way on a call...

You're right. They just kept it close enough that the teams blew it. Witness: the Kings made 25 free throws Friday, the Spurs shot 23. A jump shooting team should never shoot more free throws than a team that goes into the post.

Not necessarily. Manu didn't get the call on his final drive and Nash didn't get the call in regulation or overtime. 9 times out of 10 in that situation teams have to foul so the ref blows the whistle - sometimes in anticipation. You are way off on Tim not being aggressive. That was his best game of the season.... please!

We haven't had referee Jack Nies (#35 ) officiate one of our playoff games, yet. He also wasn't in any of the games today. I'm afraid that means he might be in Sac tonight. If that's the case, see if he gives Tim Duncan one call. Well, let me clarify... he will probably call something on Tim, just not for Tim.

Why are you arguing the calls and plays by certain teammates if you haven't seen these games?! You have no license to argue the plays and question whether players are aggressive because you said you watched them on the gAMECASTS...I understand the ref objectivity, but why are you even trying to debate other parts of the game that you have to VISUALLY see from specific players and plays, when you're just assuming everything?

Well the thread title is saying Nash's PO blunder parallels Manu's PO blunder. But really Nash's blunder was more the result of the Laker's great play. Nash didn't make any dumb decisions. Refs let them play. Calls weren't made. Nash got outhussled. You really had to see the game to judge it.
So yeah it's more like a Parker turnover against Detroits defense. But Manu takes the cake over Tony's turnover, that's one of the worst turnovers you could ever make for a guy who handles the ball so well. Worse than Nash's in the context of the game. But Much WOrse because SUNS are 1-3 because of it.

Yeah. Both of them were stymied. Tony kept getting denied in the lane. Beno panicked though. Nash didn't. But the last play on Nash was not so much a turnover. Jumpball..whatever. it's done, it's over.
