Funny I was thinking about asking that question, but I thought not being a fan I'd get yelled at.

I think this forum would go nuts and half the people in here would have broken TV's and Computers thrown in the street! Cause honestly tomorrow is a must win, and I think the series is over is the Spurs lose at home.

Eh, I wouldn't hate on Spurs fans after game 5, it's not over until it's over and the Spurs are a great team who could still take it to Game 7 and win, it's not really that outside the realm of possibilities for a team like the Spurs. After Game 7, if the Spurs lost, that would be a different story.

BTW, Mavtek, as a Mavs fan posting on a Spurs forum, getting yelled at is standard procedure for about 80% of the Spurs fans on here who don't care what you have to say.

Yeah like I am going to get hammered, drive all the way back to Austin and then wake up at 9AM for a final. Real smart. Spurs is my religion, every time they lose a part of me dies. But somehow I feel good about this game. Fuck this thread for even considering jynxing it.

Well, some of us have had some problems with our lives and the Spurs are one of the few bright spots. That may be why some people go crazy when we lose. I'm not really sure. I cried after .4 and I knew it was a game but I couldn't help it. It was terrible.

After Duncan made that shot, my brain was tuned out, I didn't even realize that Fisher made that shot after 20 minutes. I was hugging and kiss the TV. Good ole' days.

You kinda had that experience after 2002 when Horry hit that three. This was horrible though. A great comeback, an amazing shot, only to be destroyed.

Nah, you are a true fan, and you too E20, and I must say I felt exactly the same way. Sometimes I wish it didn't matter so much to me. I mean, even THINKING about tomorrow's game is giving me bad butterflies.

If they lose game 5, I'll be down, and it has shades of 2004 (*crosses himself*), but it also has shades of last year's Finals in reverse, so a game 7 isn't out of the question, and we all know how the Kings go in those (although admittedly it was a very different team).

I guess the short answer is: I will BELIEVE. :smokin

Aside from killing mavs fans (which is gonna happen....i can't stand them, and i got permission from a mavs fan to do so), it would depend on how the Spurs played. Those close losses are always heartbreakers and disappoint me, but I usually get over them faster (with the exception of .4 which was utter B.S.). If it were another blowout, I'd be pissed and probably yelling at the spurs for not wanting to win this series and completely collapsing. That being said, by the time Friday came around, I'd be convinced we were going to win again.

I'm just glad I'm at work when the games are on, so I know ahead of time whether to watch the tape of the game when I get home. It drives me completely insane when they lose like they did Sunday night, so this way I'm saving myself the ultimate heartbreak of actually watching the ugliness. If they lose, I'll be pissed off because there's no reason they should even struggle with all their depth. But I'll survive. I think. :smchode:

Fortunately, I will be away from the house while the game is on tonight, so the first thing I will do tonight is visit the site here tonight and read the mood of everyone.

For me, I just go cold turkey on ALL sports for 2-3 days and then dive back in for more!

Say what you will, but I'm just glad I cannot SEE the game tonight because my nerves cannot take it! I'm sitting hear at work 7:00am (So Cal) preparing for a presentation to the "top dog" AND thinking about the game tonight -- sad!!!

The way I look at things is that at some point the Spurs won't respond. It may be this round or next year however as it does with all grea teams. We have become so spoiled and we assume the Spurs will come out on top but I accept the fact that we are not going to win every year. If they lose tonight I will look forward to Thrusday night because we are going to be a tough out and I kmow the Kings don't want to come back to SA for game 7. You never know this type of series may help us in the long run.. or maybe not.

Well, I'd stay optomistic and say that the spurs would play "real scared" in game 6 and force a game 7 in S.A. Usually, the winner of game 5 in a 2-2 series goes on to win though. Good thing that we have home court tonight because it will play a huge factor to get these guys confidence up again.

Common sense tells me that the Spurs won't lose three games in a row, especially on home court. But the Spurs do have an uncanny knack of playing down to the level of their opponent, and coasting on their talent (see end of 2nd quarter, Game 4), so you never know.

If they do lose three in a row, I'm going to have a hard time feeling too much sympathy for them. Besides, if they continue to play this way, their chances of making it past Dallas become increasingly small.

I'm tired of the Spurs allowing other teams to stay in the game. I want to see dominance and confidence, and watch them put the game away by the end of the third quarter.

Yes.
