MOSCOW, Russia (CNN) -- An Armenian Airlines jet carrying 100 people on a flight from Yerevan has crashed into the Black Sea near the Russian resort of Sochi, authorities say.
The Airbus A320 disappeared from radar in bad weather early Wednesday, and rescuers found parts of the plane, baggage and life jackets about four miles (six kilometers) from the coast, Russian officials said
Controllers lost contact with the plane shortly after 3:30 a.m. Wednesday (11:30 p.m. Tuesday GMT), Victor Beltsov, a spokesman for the Russian Emergency Services Ministry, said.
