100 passengers and 8 crew reported on downed flight.

Condolences to the families. Very odd because this was somewhat new aircraft.

MOSCOW, Russia (CNN) -- An Armenian Airlines jet carrying 100 people on a flight from Yerevan has crashed into the Black Sea near the Russian resort of Sochi, authorities say.

The Airbus A320 disappeared from radar in bad weather early Wednesday, and rescuers found parts of the plane, baggage and life jackets about four miles (six kilometers) from the coast, Russian officials said

Controllers lost contact with the plane shortly after 3:30 a.m. Wednesday (11:30 p.m. Tuesday GMT), Victor Beltsov, a spokesman for the Russian Emergency Services Ministry, said.

The pilot had reported no problem before the crash.

The plane had been traveling from the Armenian capital of Yerevan to Sochi, Beltsov said.

Just what I need with my trip to Washington in less than two weeks.

I'm flying on an Airbus 319.

Yeah? I'm flying the first leg of my trip to Belize on a Continental Express Embraer Jet like the one that lost its wheels today, and that's 10 days away :lol

I would not worry about it. I'll fly on anything with wings.. except African airlines. (they crash A LOT recently).
