You see, TP didn't do anything different. He shot the ball when he was open, was aggressive, because we're a better team when he's aggressive.

The only difference is Manu came to play and the bench step up.

It was never TP fault you dumbshits.

You're kidding right? Pop ran the offense through Manu and Tim tonight, as opposed to running it through Tony.

:lmao

The offense was not run differently, Manu was just more aggresive. TD hit his shot's, the bench (especially Fin) set up.

Game 4 Manu played 24 minutes, tonight he played 36. And the offense wasn't run differently?

We had twice as many assists tonight as game 4, and it's because there was much more ball movement and much less one on one, which is why Tony took 20 shots last game.

:lol

they ran manu off some more screens, and the ball was passed around a lot more. we ran into a few scoring lulls when tp was dribbling around and shooting. i was glad he made some shots in the 4th, and i was really impressed with van exel tonight - not one shot jacked up in transition, and he was looking to get everyone involved.

the o was the same except for bowen, mike and manu decided to ball tonight

bowen you can not count on him going off like he did

the game plan from pop was to play bowen less but bowen was onfire so POP ADJUSTED his game plan
spurs also shot 57% ofcouse they have more assist

when you d up better your o improves you have more confidence pop plays you more

manu was not playing like a scared rabit so he played more minutes just like when tp sucks he is BENCHED

Pop specifically TOLD Parker to take more shots in Game 4. I don't understand why people like AHF are still stuck on that game and calling Tony a ballhog for it. Especially considering the fact that Tony scored 22 points and shot 50+%. It wasn't like they were low percentage shots he took. Same with today. If he has the open jumper, he's gotta take it.

Move on People. AHF, why do you have to bitch even after a WIN? :wtf

Because all of the motion in our offense went out the door while Tony dribbled around for 18 seconds before jacking up a shot.

Look, just because a coach tells you to look for your shot doesn't mean you should go out and break the offense every chance you get so you can shoot. This isn't the 76ers.

And I'm not bitching 1parker, just calling out the TP homers.

Popovich said before Game 4 he would continue to implore guard Tony Parker to shoot, saying Parker could take 25 attempts if he wanted.

**Sigh. AHF, move on.

i don't mind him taking those shots most of the time, but if they give him that shot with 18 seconds left on the shot clock i think they should try and work the ball around for a better shot, not just take the first one available the whole time. i sure hope those shots keep falling for him, it was nice to see him make most of them.

That was one games I was talking about. What I meant was, i hate it
when parker starts to settle for a jump shot instead of trying to penetrate
to the basket and kicking it out to an open man.
The kings have been trying to deny him from going into the lane, so the
spurs are bound to have an open man on the baseline.
It could be that I still dont trust Parker taking a jump shot. I understand that hes gotten better with his shot and teams are daring him to shoot from the outside.
I just dont know..Maybe it will wear on me later on.

The Kings defense is predicated on leaving Parker that shot and taking away the Spurs other high percentage looks. If Parker doesn't take and make those shots then the Spurs other good looks won't be there. If Parker makes thsoe shots the Kings defene is broken open. Parker has to shoot with confidence, that's why Pop is telling him he wants him to take the shot if it's there. Pass it up and later in the shot clock the SPurs won't have near as good a look.

Shooting is 75% confidence and 25% mechanics. Parker has shown that he's got the former... once he improves the latter he will be unstoppable.

I'm glad he's not afraid to shoot. Seeing as his sometimes poor decision-making/play-making on offense would probably rank around Number 11 in a list of reasons the Kings are giving us fits, I'm willing to accept a few bricks here and there, especially if he's shooting 50%+ from the field overall.

i would rather the offense be run inside out first. again, i don't mind if he takes that shot, but he shouldn't take it every time. parker's best work tonight was on bibby. team dime (that's what bibby calls his posse) didn't have a great game.

Three assists and three turnovers. Is three assists in 38 minutes good for a starting point guard? How about a 1:1 AST to TO ratio? Yes he hit some jump shots and put up some points, he also took the most amount of shots on the team once again. I'll change my mind about Parker when he gets his teamates involved and the Spurs aren't struggling to keep up with an 8th seed.

Spurminator

How can you complain about the offense in a game where the Spurs shot 57%? Seriously? Who cares how many assists he had? Sometimes the better play is to shoot. He missed 6 shots.

And if it's really true that the Spurs ran the ball through Manu more this game, there are less opportunities for him to get assists. The entire series has been played in the half court set. That also cuts down on assists.

I've got no problem with criticizing Parker... he's got a lot of room to grow, but you guys' timing is just perplexing. They're not struggling with the Kings because they're only shooting 50% for the series and scoring only 106 ppg (both are the best marks for any team in the Playoffs, by the way.)

Parker is a drive and kick, occassionally drive and drop PG. The Kings primary defensive focus since game one has been to keep him out of the paint, collapsing, going under screens. He'd be stupid to force it. He's taking what they give him.

Shit this it tiring!!!! The Spurs offense is not set up for TP to have a high # of assist consistently. This is been said over and over, Pop has said it over and over. Learn YOUR TEAM!!!!!
