I’m very saddened to share the news of my father’s passing at home early this morning. My dad was my best friend and greatest role model, and I will miss him deeply. I’m overwhelmed when I think of all of the great things he accomplished in his life. He was an amazing dad, coach, mentor, soldier, husband and friend. I wouldn’t be where I am today without him, and I’m honored to continue his legacy of sharing and caring. Thank you to all who are sending condolences to my family and our Foundation. We are truly blessed to have so many who care during this difficult time.

RIP Earl

How sad..I just watched an interview with Tiger a couple of weeks ago about his Dad. It was really touching. It's wonderful that Earl got to see Tiger achieve his personal goals as well as his professional ones. He raised a good son.

I guess I must have been out of the loop, because I hadn't realized his dad was that sick. Was it cancer?

He was sick for a long time. I feel for Tiger, but I'm sure there is also a sense of relief that his dad is no longer suffering.

RIP Earl.

You raised a great son, you were a great father, and you raised a son the way a father should.

By being there, stressing education FIRST, by teaching class, humility, and humbleness.

I wish there were more fathers like Earl.

RIP, and god bless Earl, hopefully you, Bob Hope, and all the others are up there enjoying all the golf you can.. :)
