I know Elliot called Bowen "The Rash".
Duncan is "The Big Fundamental"
Antoine Carr was the original "Big Dawg"
Rodman was "The Worm"
Chuck Person was "The Rifleman"
Robinson "The Admiral"
Elliot "The Ninja" (figure that one out?)
Vernon Maxwell was "Mad Max"
Gervin was of course "The Iceman"
Avery was "The Little General"
Tarkanian was "Tark the Shark"
Tony Parker is nicked as "TP" but that's not really a nick name. Unless
you count calling him "The Kidd errr Kid"
Jack Haley was "Rodman's bitch"
Bateer was "That giant Chineese dude who never plays, sitting over there on the bench"
I know there are lot's more but my memory is failing me. So add your own. :p

How about:
The big boring (TD)
Freedom Fry (TP)

Now, of course I'm just joking, but the Spurs are one of the most boring teams in the L. A damn good team basketball wise, but pretty uniteresting...unless you count playing the sax and swimming cool things

That's why you're here talking about them all the time right? You must live an exciting life.

The big boring (TD)
Freedom Fry (TP)

... the most boring teams in the L. A

Is this a subliminal message?

Can you actually say the Washington Wizards are more exciting?

How about the Hawks?

The list goes on.

Sorry everyone...should have advanced my statement further....
The most boring team that actually does well, like moving in the playoffs and winning regularly.

Teams like the Hawks, Wiz, and others don't really qualify...once again I wholeheartedly apologize. :rolleyes

Oh, and why I'm here....why not.

Oh, and why I'm here....why not.

Shouldn't you be in training camp? Or are you holding out for more?

Perhaps the best nickname ever, save for the Iceman, is "The Whopper".

If you don't know who that was you don't deserve to call yourself a Spurs fan.

Big Fundamental is one of the worst nicknames of all time.

Captain late? Is that Iverson?

Iverson would be Captain Attitude, if he were a Spur.

Captain Late was James Silas, who had a penchant for late game production in Crunch time. Captain Crunch was already taken.

Captain Late was, I thought, one of the dumbest nicks of all time. Appropriate, but dumb.

I liked just plain "Si" better.

Billy Paultz!

Some other neat nicknames

Stephen Jackson = Buckets (or Treys as Malik called him once)
Jaren Jackson = The Eliminator
Kevin Willis = KDub, KWill, Sugar Daddy, T-Rex
Mario Elie = Junk Yard Dawg (The Original)
Artis Gilmore = The A-Train

I'm really pissed off that none of you guys has mention Sugar Bear yet, or seem to know who he was.

Big Fundamental is one of the worst nicknames of all time.

Yeah, I don't particularly like it either considering it was instated by a "jesting and jeering" Shaq.

Since nobody even attempted . . . "Sugar Bear" was the great Mike Gale.

Also forgotten: Walter "The Truth" Berry

Tim's demeanor makes him the perfect candidate to inherit "Ice".

It would never catch on, of course, as several fans would deem it blasphemy, I just couldn't overlook how well it fit.

"Silent Assasin"

I remember going to a Spurs open practice, and the Spurs all had there names or nicknames on there water bottles.

This was written on Will Perdue's bottle.

I never laughed so hard in my life.

Walter Berry...Mr. "My game does not consist of fundamentals." :lol

Didn't know that about Gale. Good call.

How about Chuck Nevitt? Not sure if it was official but I remember a lot of people calling him "tall-ass white guy" ! :p

Uwe Blab = "The Blob"
D. Wilkins = "Human Highlight Film" (He only played a year, but he was still Spurs)
Frank Brickowski = "The Brick" (appropriate name, actually you could combine Brad Lohaus and Frank to get the "BrickHaus")
Ed Nealy = "How did he get here"
Jon Sunvoid = I heard him called "Deadeye"
Brent Barry = "Bones"
Alvin Robertson = Not sure if this one stuck, but he was called "Thief" the year he led the league in steals.

It stuck pretty well in court too.
