we will have less than 48 hours to get ready for the Mavs who have rested all week (and 3 hours will be the flight back to SA). We'll have to play Sunday afternoon.

And? There is nothing that would make winning tonight suck.

And if the Spurs lose they have to play another game before getting the Mavs who will be even more healthy than they would be on Sunday. Spurs fans had better be hoping the Spurs are playing well, because that's more important than any of this other shit.

F' the Mavericks. I signed up just so I could come on here and set all of you "straight" Our front line alone is good enough to win out in 5. Add TP and we are good to go!!

5 hour flight (Pacific Time).

Doesn't matter; Spurs need to get this one done; build a swagger & then take care of the Mavs.

"IF WE WIN TONIGHT" doesn't sound too confident, does it? That's good. I can't stand over confidence, it sounds too much like that cry-baby Kobe. A team that is too over-confident is pompous and the rest of the world hates them. And, that's a drag. What happens one year, is not a guareentee it'll happen again. So, hold your water tonight cause it's going to be tough!!!!!!

Besides if the Spurs win in a game 7 on Sun (which they WILL do tonight in 6), they would still have to be ready to play a game 1 with the Mavs next Tues -- so it does not make a difference.

Besides, too long of a layoff could potential cause a team to get rusty!

What sucks is if we win tonight the Spurs will only play 12 more games this postseason en route to a title. I don't get to see a lot of Spurs games in Houston so it's important that they stretch the playoffs out as much as possible.

I say the spurs lose on purpose tonight and than win on Sunday.

Any disadvantages of winning Game6 imagined by delusional fans are completely overwhelmed by the Spurs elminating a very tough opponent, on the road, foreshadowing what the Spurs will have to repeat vs Mavs, vs WCF, and vs Pistons.

This is a huge test of the Spurs ability to step it up and keep their composure in a horribly hostile, insane arena. AA Arena and Auburn Hills will not be easier.

AA Arena and Auburn Hills will not be easier.

My thinking exactly. Spurs need to win tonight not only to close this series out, but to show everyone - including themselves - they have what it takes to win on the road against a formidable opponent.

So we wait...didn't I see Mav's game 1 for Sunday if game 7 is (and should be) unnecessary? Just trying to preempt family from scheduling my time so I can coach from my garage!

What difference does it make?
I think if the spurs win tonight, they play dallas on Sunday,
If theres a game 7 on Sunday, guess what?
THEY STILL PLAY AGAIN IN 48 HOURS!!!

But if you lose you might have to play a b2b to start the next series... not likely, but it's better to get it over with, right?

There are no B2Bs in the playoffs, period.

If the NBA throws a back to back in the playoffs at the Spurs, knowing that it's their only weakness this year, I'm going to get a serious case of the conspiracies that seems to be going around NBA fan circles.

No. There will be at least one day between games. That's plenty.

I'm tired of posting this:

May 10, 2003 - Pistons 83 @ Sixers 93
May 11, 2003 - Pistons 82 @ Sixers 95

http://www.nba.com/history/playoffs/20022003.html

They are rare, but there are back-to-backs in the playoffs.

Yup and the Kings/Mavs had a B2B in '03 also, they are definitely possible

That's why they have 7 game series. The best team always wins. If we gonna beat Dallas, we gonna beat them regardless.

Unlikely it will even go one OT.

The Spurs have nothing but momentum going into a series with Dallas, Duncan has been performing better with each game, Manu will be looking to breakout and do his thing with Artest out of the way, and Bruce will finally get to go to work. If the pressure is on anyone, it's on the Mavs.

A motivated and hot shooting Bonzi Wells is a more difficult cover than any two guys on the Mavs.
