Who should the Spurs have on the court if they were down by 1 with 5 seconds left? Granted we have not even seen how Barry and several other new players will work out, but what's your take? Who takes the last shot? What play is run?

1. Duncan
if he's doubled or tripled, which is likely, he kicks it out to either
2. Barry
3. Manu
4. Parker or Brown

You need one more Supergirl unless you meant Parker and Brown.

^^^ Unless something happens in the course of the season to say otherwise (as in Horry has run completely out of gas) that would have to be the group.......

Tony Massenburg or Sean Marks.
Just Joking.
You have to put the game in Tim Duncan's hands. That is why he is the superstar and that is why he gets paid.

Not to bring up any bad memories, but in the 0.4 game, during the Spurs' timeout, I was yelling at the screen "Anything but a fadeaway from Duncan", because it seems that that's nearly always what the Spurs try as a buzzer beater.
Granted he hit an amazing shot, but the fact remains that the play design itself was crap.

Pop will most likely use the lineup of:
Duncan
Horry
Barry
Manu
Parker

I like that lineup TimVP.
Run screen and roll with Parker and Duncan. Place Manu and Horry on the weakside. (or place Horry and Barry on the weakside, and run Manu on a cut to the basket).
And then whoever is open gets the shot. Each player (besides Parker) is reasonably clutch.

would anyone give the ball to rose or rasho?
If they were right near the basket and wide open sure but, I'd definitely put one of them in if there was like 1-4 seconds left and we had a 1-2 point lead. For defensive purposes though.

But if you stick to the scenario of this thread it has to be: Duncan, Parker, Barry, Ginobili, Horry.

Same lineup Tim, Tony, Brent, Manu,Robert
Try to pass the ball inside to Tim, if he's trippled he kicks the ball to TP who penetrates and then if everybody goes on Tony he passes to Brent who easly have time and is open to hit the 3 pointer.

If you're down by one, you don't need a three so you don't need Horry. He's simply running on the memories of a couple of past performances at this stage in his career.
Crafty veteran and all that, but I don't think he's gonna make that shot. Anyone in Houston will tell you that Horry was never a consistent shooter in his best days. He often became wallpaper. He's certainly not fast enough to drive on anybody to pick up a foul.
I'd put Devin Brown in his place along with Manu. Parker, Barry and Tim.

Always always always have Horry on the floor when a last-second shot is needed. A guy who has hit 21 game-winning or game-clinching shots in his career, how do you not have him on the floor?
Just ask Sacramento what happens when you count him out. Or Portland. Or the Sixers. Or David Robinson .....

Duncan
Manu
Parker
Barry
Brown
With that kind of time left, you don't have to worry about having size out there. Brown has more athleticism and ability than Horry at this point. Horry has hit some big shots, but he hasn't done so in the past couple of years and he's in the twilight of his career.
You need athleticism and ability to finish at the rim and shoot the ball. The abiliy to get putbacks is important, but Horry isn't really good at that anyway. For my money, I want the veterans with Devin Brown or a similar athletic player.
