NEW YORK -- Another violation of the NBA's drug policy will prevent Clifford Robinson from playing in the remainder of the New Jersey Nets' playoff series against the Miami Heat.

The league announced on Friday that the veteran forward has been suspended five games for violating the terms of the anti-drug program.

The suspension will begin with Game 3 of the Eastern Conference semifinal series between the Nets and Heat. The best-of-seven series is tied at one game apiece.

I don't think the Nets need another obstacle between them and the Finals. You may have forgotten about the Pistons :)

Oh god... as if our bench wasnt shitty enough.

Now our first big man off the bench will be John Thomas... a 30 year old who got cut from 2 teams before being signed 2 days before the end of the season. Fantastic. What a bench!

Ouch. That won't help. I'm surprised to hear that Uncle Cliffy got into trouble, though. Wonder what he took. Viagra?

Weed... and he has a history of it. He was our best bench player by far. This really sucks, I have no idea how he could do this and fuck over his team and fans.

Amazing he could do this during the playoffs (or around the playoffs). Nice to have Sheed instead of him, especially now. Sorry Nets fans. :lol

I question the timing of this test, not the results.

Season over because some pothead couldn't wait a couple of weeks to light up. No way we are going to beat the most hyped team in the NBA now. Wade and Shaq will get called every time they are breathed on (Wade already is, but now it will happen with Shaq)

Yeah it could have been done 4-6 months ago. Who knows.

I hate Snaq and Wade with such a passion because of the calls they get.

What there should be no testing during the playoffs now?

I have an idea. We should have sent the dogs over to Bonzi's house and Rasheed "Weed" Wallace. :smokin They may have helped us out. :rolleyes

that would have been a good idea. because bowen really hurt his chances of being considered best defensive player with bonzi schooling him every night.
