Who will we see during the rest of these playoffs? Is it "Injury Manu," the guy that can't function unless he is 100% healthy, or will Sir Charles' "Ginobili!!" find a way to grind out a gutsy performance through the rest of this post season.
Stay tuned, . . .

What is it with injury to Manu? I have not heard of any major injuries to manu. If you say he is banged up, there are many nba players that are banged up at the end of the season and I'm not seeing excuses for any of them.
I'm tired of this excuse for manu's inconsistent poor play.

Well, I too share this sentiment; however, some Spurs fans do nothing but coddle and make excuses for all-star caliber players that do now perform consistently to the benefit of the team. :fro

Were you tired of his 'play' in the 2005 Playoffs? You didn't give him any props for scoring 20ppg on practially 60% shooting and being more effective on offense then Duncan -- so your opnion doesn't mean much. Your just an annoyance.

If it doesn't matter why did you respond?
Manu has a career playoff scoring avg of 14.7 points a game. Hardly anything special.
And you didn't want Carter.
Vince Carter has better career playoff numbers than Manu.
Manu career playoff numbers .456 FG% .787 FT% 4.8 R 3.5 A 1.4 S 2.2 TO 14.7 PPG
Carter .421 FG% .822 FT% 7.1 R 5.2 A 1.8 S 2.5 TO 27 PPG
Manu has a slight advantage in fg% and turn overs are close but Carter beats him in all other areas. Not even close in scoring average. Only in San Antonio is Manu considered better than Carter.
Carter also had a better year than Manu this year and is having a better playoffs than manu. face it, you argued with me that Carter was'nt any good but now argue Manu is great, yet Carter is putting up more impressive numbers. Explain that!!

Also you did not respond to the question as to why all the injury excuses this year but chose to rather get side tracked with last year.

Did I say Manu was better than Carter? No. NEVER. You don't even pay attention to what posters like me even say. I never said Manu was god or that he was better then a healthy Vince Carter. I have said several times Carter is the better player. But if he is injured etc..., of course he isn't better than a healthy Manu (and Carter was hurt a lot in the previous years). Either way, I never said Manu was better. I don't know where you got that from.
BTW, can you post Manu's 2005 Playoff stats instead of BIASING YOUR AVERAGE to his career where he was obviously less effective inprevious playoffs and played less minutes in 03 and 04? Can you post his percentage increase in STATS AND EFFICIENCY inb the 2005 playoffs? You will find that his playoffs were as good as any second star offensive who is not named Kobe Bryant. Even with that said I am not saying Manu is comparable to Kobe or Vince. Just saying for the 2005 playoffs he played SPECTACULAR. And you refuse to give credit.
BTW in general players are LESS EFFICIENT and productive relative to their regular seasons. And each year Manu has produced more except for this years playoffs. 3/4 playoffs where he either did as well or improved drastically from his regular season. He stepped up statistically every year but this year (where I admit, he is sucking ass).
If you are going post here you might as well use your brain (if you have one, I have serious doubts about this however). You simply have no room for reasoned debate. I posted because you are extremely annoying and you pollute this board. Saying Manu sucks is one thing, but only coming to post on the board when he plays poorly and NOT GIVING him credit when he plays well is flat out HATE and BIAS posting.
Why don't you just quit posting here altogether? You clearly have no objectivity. And no, your posts are no more objective than the Spurs homer. You are an Anti-Manu HOMER. AKA a Manu hater. Just admit it.

I do not hate Manu. manu is a very good player but I recognize he is over rated and coddled on this board.
You never said Carter was the better player when I was arguing with you right after carter was traded to the Nets. You like most everyone else on this board except Sequa Spur said Carter was not any good anymore that he quit on his team and was a bad fit for the spurs. But now you have back peddeled when there is no doubt that Carter is better.

I never said a healthy Vince is inferior to Manu. Never. In fact I stressed it to you about 10 times that Carter was better in 2005 and in general when healthy. But you didn't listen. You assumed because I stuck up for Manu (when you put him down), that I was saying he was better than Vince. You obviously weren't paying attention, and were lazily lumping me with some Manu homers.

Your claims did not seem right to me. So I just checked your claims that Manu scored 20ppg on practically 60% shooting in last year's playoffs.
Not true! He shot 44.6 % and averaged 14.8 points per game in the 2004-2005 playoffs.

I re checked it. Manu did score 20.8 ppg but he shot at 50.7% not 60%.
So you were right he did score well but you over exagerated on his shooting %. Overall he had a very good playoffs last year but that is not the issue of this thread.

Check true Shooting %. It is over 60%. That includes FT's and 3pt shots. So if Parker shoots 5-10 and scores 10pts that is weaker than Manu getting 10pts on 3shots and 4FTs. 2 Fts = about 1 possesion. Each FTa is usually between .44-.50 (cause of techs etc...).
Therefore Manu was unoticably and excessively efficient. But you need to have a knowledge of statistics to understand this. You have to factor 3pt shooting and FT shooting (amount of attempts taken) into the equation.
