the best way to prove that is concerts! When have you ever seen 60,000+ at a rap concert(if that is what you call it)?
A true concert = people playing an instrument. Rappers can't even play with themselves. :lol

That's a no brainer.
Can they 'play' rap live??
Or is just someone singing to recorded music??

If you like Rock, Rock > Rap. If you like Rap, Rap > Rock. What is the point of this "competition"?

Rock and roll rules. I am tired of trolling the Billboard charts and seeing stuff from Artists like "Nelly featuring JaRule with help from Beyonce aided by SLim Thing assisted by Paul Mall with a special cameo appearance from Alicia Keys." Give me ELO anytime!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I like music and don't give a damn about concert attendance since I wouldn't pay $2 to see some of the crap bands out today. Classic rock is where it's at!!!!

I mean real down and dirty, gut bucket blues. Nothing is as sweet to me as the old slide guitar Delta blues.
Son House, Muddy Waters, Robert Johnson, Charley Patton, Jimmy Reed, Little Walter, John Lee Hooker, T-Bone Walker...etc etc

I used to think that rap was indeed > rock... I thought that rock was for white teenagers with no rythym to speak of, but that was just for heavy metal, not rock as a whole. Rock is > rap... you can actually listen to it loudly without hearing about 10000 curse words ( I curse plenty, but shit, there comes a time when little kids don't need to hear that shit) and the rock I'm talking about aren't those pussies that you hear on the radio all the time. I mean can even the fans of those bands tell the difference between them? Bands like fall out boy, nickel back, and about another 100 bands those teenage girls listen to all sound the same.
imo, we are now in the crap explosion part of the cycle :smchode:

Do you remember lying in bed
With your covers pulled up over your head?
Radio playin' so no one can see
We need change, we need it fast
Before rock's just part of the past
'Cause lately it all sounds the same to me
Oh oh oh oh, oh oh "The Ramones"
I miss you Wolfman Jack, Cousin Brucie, Robert W. Morgan and you Real Don Steele :(

Rap has completely forgotten its roots. Hip-Hop lost its soul when the DJ got replaced and when rappers started singing.
