I sent Mark Cuban an email after game three and he actually replied. I asked him why he doesn't talk about the poor officiating on his blog when the calls all go his way. He sent back... I guess you didn't worry about it in game one when all the calls went the Spurs way.... I don't know what game he was watching! The email proved that he doesn't care about fair officiating like he says he does. All he wants is for his team to get all the calls. He's just a sorry-ass fan with a lot of money.

Dude's been bitching about the refs from day one. Refs have to be intimidated when reffing a Mavs game because Cuban's video staff is ready to compile a montage of their lowlights and send it off to the league. Add to that the fact that Cuban hires former refs to work for him. IMO such activities certainly violate the spirit of the game and look like borderline manipulation. Anyone who's watched NBA basketball for a few seasons knows what went down in the last few games. The officials were all but wearing Mavs' warmups.

I actually have more faith going into this game than I did going into game 4.

I am 100% convinced that our team is better than theirs.

The Pistons might get the same screwing the Spurs are getting, Alvarez. I'm sure the Commish would salivate over a Dallas/Miami finals matchup.

IMO, he would prefer a Clippers/Miami series. He would love the celebrities that would come out for both teams.

Okay now if the Spurs can blow these bitches out in Game 5, how tight do you think they'd be in Game 6?

yeayah.

That's crossed my mind today. One win and the pressure's on Dallas to close out. None of their players are especially known for clutch postseason performances. Spurs have nothing to lose at this point.

I remember when the Portland Trailblazers were down 3-0 against the Mavs. They came back to tie that series 3-3.

This is the Mavs. Dallas Mavericks.

If Portland can do it, so can the Spurs.

Thats real smart. There are two players from that team playing for the current Mavs now- Dirk and Adrian G. But you have two of them on your mighty Spurs- NVE and FIN DOG. You can't compare that the 2003 team to todays Mavs. Thats like comparing this years Spurs team to the teams that tanked the season to get Tim Duncan.

Star treatment? How about just calling it everytime Dampier fouls him?
They pretty much do. Thats why Diop and Damp both fouled out.

Memo to my Spurs:

My job at the AT&T Center (as well as my resulting income) is dependant on you guys doing well and advancing in these play offs.

Therefore, I offer you this challenge: Win or I am moving in.

I stayed off the computer and turned off the game last night because I just couldn't watch the crap calls anymore (I recorded it though). Props to Bruce Bowen for calling out Stern. I still hate Avery, not any more, not any less--just the same for going to _allas.

I have been watching the NBA since 1974 and I have never seen anything so pathetic as Dirk Nowitski being mistaken for an NBA star. I think I will start watching vintage NBA games to scratch my b-ball itch in the future. Maybe a good bad boy game from 1989....

And finally, this thread started out great and then the same new idiot mavs fans started taking over. Thanks again mavs fans for ruining a thread that had really nothing to do with you. /end rant

Bottom line...yes the Refs effed us again...

Bottom line 2...the opportunity to win the game was still in our hands and we squandered it.

Bottom line 3...Yes the Spurs are capable of coming back and winning this series

From what I have seen THIS series; in games 1, 3 & 4; NO the Mavericks are not clutch. Their FG% in the 4th is horrendous, they make bad plays and miss shots.

Clutch
adj. Informal
1. Being or occurring in a tense or critical situation: won the championship by sinking a clutch putt. 2. Tending to be successful in tense or critical situations: The coach relied on her clutch pitcher.

dont matter about the 4th FG%...it matters "occurring in a tense or critical situation"...and thats what the mavs did, played their best in a tense or critical situation

How can we beat them? We should do something to stop Harris, but he's too fast for Parker. There are so many great player there, we're doomed.

Oh, Gee!!
