If we go down to Detroit 4-1 does that mean they would have beat the Spurs like 2-0 before the NBA stepped in and ended the series out of pity?

No, it means the Mavs would still have 0 championships.

Spurs fans are the new Lakers fans, whining left and right about calls and bringing up past titles when their team is getting their asses kicked :lol

We're up 3-1 on you RIGHT NOW. Your team can be out tomorrow night.

"bubububu oh well we have 3 titles :depressed"

Everything is in the past. The only thing that's happening in the present are you and I typing really stupid shit on a message board.

Please, in this case they were not using titles to justify an argument. You just set him up really really good.

Spurs are still and always will be my favorite team. I'm not bailing, but I'm not a myopic homer like most of the posters around here. Spurs just didn't ever click this year. They're good enough to win 60+ games, but for some reason they've not played all that great in the post-season. I'm sure next season will be different.

Maybe next year we can get a couple of seven footers to contest the Mavs lay-ups and grab rebounds. Oh wait, we already have those....

Things look very bad for the Spurs, butit's definantly not over. Pistons are having some trouble right now as well. A series isn't over until it's over. If Dallas can win 3 in a row why can't the Spurs win 3 in a row?

Pistons are tied 2-2 with a 50-win Cleveland. Spurs are down 3-1 to a 60-win Dallas. I would say those are vastly different circumstances.

Oh and detroit is even a worse team than SA or DAllas, i think both texans teams are far better than detroit. They play in the shitty Eastern Conference and didnt have any injuries all season long, and they barely beat our clubs record-wise.

Not to mention that they are as soft as it gets on the offensive end, all they do is shoot jumper after long three, after jumper, they are one of the worse teams in terms of points in the paint. They do have a good defense though, and a better one than the spurs's (more versatile, they dont need to go small to cover us) so it should be an interesting series.

Also dont forget we almost beat them in detroit with 1/2 a team injured and playing 2 D-leaguers. And in Dallas we blew the shit out of them by almost 40 points. If we got by SA, we will DEFINITELY beat detroit.

That's what I am thinking most especially that those last two games could have gone either way.
