Now, we all know the series isn't over it, but it certainly isn't looking good, so in this thread let's list some lessons learned, in no particular order:
1. Free Throws - This is an issue that has nagged the Spurs for years. They've bene able to get away with it (mostly) because they've been so strong in other areas. This series proves that it's no longer the case. There is way too much parity in the league these days to let something so easy and fundamental slip through the cracks. Dallas' ability to nail free throws especially at the end of the game was a HUGE difference maker. This is by far the easiest part of the game of basketball, it's entirely about practice, concentration, and routine.
2. Lineup - This one should be common sense, go with the lineup you've been going with all season unless you can't due to injury. Messing with the lineup early in the series is BAD BAD BAD.
3. Brent Barry- This man should NEVER inbound the ball again. Seriously, how many times has this guy messed up an inbounds pass? Credit to Dallas for covering well, but seriously, you should NEVER turn over an inbounds pass. Especially at the end of a close game. I blame this on Pop, Barry has done this repeatedly (game 7 vs. detriot for those who remember) and yet Pop doesn't get it.
