Duncan is the first player in NBA history to be named to both an All-NBA Team and an All-Defensive Team in each of his first nine seasons (David Robinson held the previous record being named in each of his first seven seasons).

And then Duncan tied an NBA postseason record by making his first 12 shots in tonight's game.

The consecutive all nba team thing is going to be VERY hard to break. Most players who come into the league aren't as polished offensively and defensively as Duncan was coming in. Even the future greats like LeBron, Wade, Parker, Anthony, Arenas, etc etc leave much to be desired on the defensive end. It wouldn't shock me if that record stood for a very very long time.... at least until the Spurs get their next big man that is :spin

Screw people breaking the record, I just want to see Duncan continue to add to it. :)

If it looks unbreakable now, just wait a couple years. ;)
