1. Terry should have pump faked.

2. Dirk should have taken his time on the putback.

Congrats on the win. The spurs played great. Duncan was nearly flawless and got plenty of support. Your three point shooting was the edge you needed.

As a mavs fan, it was tough to watch a golden opportunity slip away. However, the mavs didn't play particuarly well and almost stole one on the road.

I still think this series goes 7 games.

Dirk didn't take his time on the tip-in because Parker was holding the back of his jersey. Look at the replay- plain as day Parker has a fistfull of Dirk's jersey. He then looks around sheepishly when the buzzer goes off- looks like he is waiting for the whistle.

Ahhh...the benefits of homecourt.

That has nothing to do with taking his time. Maybe with him not being able to get the shot up as well, but not with taking his time :P

Hey, at least this was a NORMAL home court advantage instead of the insanity in Dallas.

And Dirk got to shoot free throws on yet another charge. Give 2 points, take 2 points. Works for me :P

But damn that game was scary. Dirk's the man, but he wants nothing to do with Duncan. For the most part in this series he's been driving side-to-side and not towards the hoop. And did you see him practically begging someone 30 feet away to come guard Duncan? Cracked me up.

As great as he is (and he is- no denying that) Dirk has two glaring weaknesses- he plays virtually zero defense (lateral foot speed is a problem for him) and he has no low post offensive game. If he had any low post offensive skills, given his height advantage, there is no way Bowen could cover him. Even the best all have their weaknesses ala Timmy's free throw streakiness, etc.

Do you really want me to re-post the picture of Dampier holding Tony's FACE in one hand and the waistband of Manu's SHORTS in the other hand? On which no foul was called?

Give me a fucking break. :madrun

Pache- the point is that grabbing and holding are part of the game NBA-style. All teams'players do it and get away with it. Just like in the NFL they could call offensive holding on every play- in the NBA they could call fouls on every possession. "Real" basketball is played in March...its called "March Madness". The stuff we are watching now is called entertainment and, if nothing else, you've got to admit it is entertaining in a Ringling Brothers sort of way.

I don't need a lecture on what is and is not part of the game NBA-style. BTW, I watch in March, too. Can you be a little more superior and condescending next time?

That's what I expected. More insults. Well, when you can't argue with a 54-yr old WOMAN, resort to hurling insults. Pitiful, but not surprising. Get back with me when you either 1) GROW UP, or 2) decide to stop being an asshole.

You talk about "growing up"...I'm not the one who has to resort to hurling profanity and name-calling. Oh yeah, I forgot, you're a woman...probably played a lot of basketball in your day, huh?

Before you ask, yes, I did play basketball- Division I in fact. In the Big Ten, no less. I won't lecture you about needlepoint if you don't lecture me about basketball.

It's not that much different from insults, your condescending tone, and your macho put-downs, which you seem to think take the place of wits.

Yeah he did, but that's the way it goes. Spurs found a way to win and the Mavs didn't last night...PERIOD.

Where's the foul?

LOL! If there was no foul call on that played, one of the funnier things is the in the background, Danny Crawford is looking DIRECTLY at the play.

Thanks for the pic. :tu Was just talking to Mavs fan who always complains about the Spurs and how they grap and slap. He changed the subject.
