Robby played his 209th playoff game last night, taking over Scottie Pippen for the 2nd place. http://spurstalk.com/forums/images/smilies/smispin.gif

Love Big Shot Rob. I struggle to even suggest this. However now that the Mavs have exposed the fact that this is a team that is old and needs younger, fresher legs, I would suggest the Spurs consider not bringing him back next year. Ouch!

Thoughts?

:lmao Not bring back Horry? He was horrible in the 2004 playoffs, but thank god we didn't trade him away then!

I know, I know. I'm not 100% advocating it, but based upon what other acquistions they can make over the off season, the Spurs should consider it.

They absolutely MUST change the complexion of the bench.

The Mavs are only going to get better and Phoenix will be strong again next year, as well.

NO, mavs are not gonna get much better next year. Although Van Horn is a free agent, so is Terry, and after his huge series agains the champs, he'll want more than he's earning this year (about 7.5 million). Even if they don't resign anyone this offseason, they'll still be more than ten million above the salary cap. The only way the can get someone is sign and trade....

Travesty that we're not using him more.

What the hell is the point of saving him til the playoffs?

maybe he can only handle so many clutch shots a season.

One thing I wouldn't mind for next year: replace him in the rotation with someone younger and friskier, but keep him down by the end of the bench. Having clutch shooters that you can whip out in case of emergency can be huge in the playoffs.

Sincerely,

Steve Kerr
