They all run fast cars, in any given week, it's a toss-up. Chevy probably has the edge this year, judging by the Nextel Cup standings. Seven of the top 10 cars (so far this year with 11 of 36 races run) are Chevys; 2 Fords and 1 Dodge. But at least one Dodge will be a contender for the title this year. Dodge drivers struggled last year with the re-release of the Charger; they struggled because Dodge built the race car around one set of specs that NASCAR established and then, after the car was in production, NASCAR changed the spoiler requirements and it threw the aerodynamics of the car way off (to use the shorter spoiler). So, that was a setback. Some teams that run Dodges even brought the 2004 Intrepid back for the last few races at the end of the season; others stuck it out with the Charger. I think they have figured out how to make the Charger work now and some of them are running FAST.

Also, next year, Toyota is breaking into NASCAR. They are running the Camry in 2007, and I guarantee you they will pump enough money into their program to get the Toyota teams off to a VERY FAST start. Write it down.
