We all know the refs have been horrible the series. For both sides. Some calls will go mavs ways and some spurs. But everyone just relax with the refs. You don'twant to live in the series blaming your season on the refs, thats just sad. I complain too.So lets just all stop complaining and not blame it 0on the refs.

Actually, we SHOULD complain about the refs, they've been horrible. Beyond horrible for the most part.

BUT, we shouldn't blame them for either team losing any of the games. Every game has come down to execution in the last 2 minutes (except the game 2 debacle).

So complain about bad calls, just shut up about "would have won if" or "biased" or any crap like that. It's just bad reffing. Annoying, and certainly makes the games less fun, but bad reffing doesn't equal wins or losses.

Let 'em play in game 7. That's all I ask.

anyone know who the refs might be for game 7?
alot of pressure to call a good game.

FT disparity isn't a good measure of the officiating.

Some calls just hurt a lot more than others.

I will never forget the 4th quarters of games 3 and games 4.

mmm u know ... about the free throw attempts... the spurs attack the basket more than the mavericks do, first do we agree on that? if we do then i dont think it matters the number of FTA's if we observe the kinds of fouls that were called for the mavs specially in games 3 and 4....but yes lets stop with the refs

Refs actually did a fairly decent job in the second half yesterday.

As long as the refs don't make bogus calls on the last possessions, it's all good. That's why I have a problem with games 3 and 4...horrible calls. Anyway, I hope that does not happen in game 7...that would fucking suck. Let the players earn it.

Surviving an elimination game on the road with Bennett Slavatore reffing is as close to a religious experience as I've ever come.

I don't know how the officiating crew is selected for a game 7, but we just had Salvatore, and we had Bavetta in game 5, so maybe we won't have them Monday.

Every game except 2 have come down to the last few minutes. In games 3 and 4 the spurs sucked ass in the last 2 minutes, in games 5 and 6 it was the mavs who crumbled under pressure

I think people just want consistency, and in the last 3 minutes let the players decide the game and don't call every ticky-tack foul.

I think people just want consistency,

That's my biggest beef. I think there are many times when calls change over the course of a game.

Last night (Game 6) might have been an example of this, but I thought the officials did the right thing in the 2nd half and just let the teams play -- the game had rhythm and flow and was fun to watch.

It seems to be pretty obvious that the refs have done a horrible job calling not only this series but a lot of other series as well. So then the question is:

Why doesnt the NBA get rid of some of these guys and bring in some fresh talent to ref games? The horrible officiating has been going on for years yet the NBA sticks with these guys. I am not saying the refs are biased or anything, but then that means they suck and the NBA has done nothing to correct this important problem. Just something that perplexes me about this league...

Refs are like a team, when the league feels they have a good team they are relunctant to change things. It takes years to become a good NBA official.

This is to many for a playoff game, in my opinion. Two power house teams like this should get to "pound it out".

Let BOTH teams play! GO SPURS GO!

One of the announcers even said something to the effect that people don't buy tickets to watch these guys shoot free throws, and some reference was made to a Larry Brown practice session....

Maybe that's why they laid off the whistles in the second half.

Lord only knows they have been called out on bad officiating in several articles and by several announcers..

Looks like they would get the idea after a while....

Haven't seen Jack Nies yet.
The league doesn't actually consider Nies good enough to work a game 7 do they? The problem with Nies is that even if he calls a fair game, he's completely inside Timmy's head at this point. Let's just hope he's far away on monday.

Put a cage around the court for game 7 and let's have a good ole fashion indian strap match between the teams with no referees except maybe for an appearance by a special guest referee (maybe Don Rickles) :)
