I am a Mavs fan first....but if you earn it, I'll be a spur fan the rest of the way. I was a Spur fan in the days of Gervin. But we had season tix to the Mavs for years. Loved them in the crappy years...love them now. I've followed them every year of their existance.

To Dallas Mavericks Fans,

Me being a Spurs fan, I have always had a personal vandetta when it came to playing Dallas or Houston. I always drank a little bit more, got a little but louder at the television and had alot of pride for the Spurs when they do win against these teams. With that said:

No matter how this series ends, your team has showed up to win every game. I know that I have lost some sleep with the 2 losses in Dallas to go down 3 games to 1. Also, this Dallas team has caused my blood pressure to rise at least every other night when they played. No matter what happenes tomorrow night, I want you guys to know that you are right on the tip of the iceberg of elite teams (in my book at least) and now I know that I must watch the Dallas Mavericks more often. I also believe that this series will open a whole new level on this already great rivalry. Next years games are going to be on ABC on Sundays, I can guarantee that.

You have something very special brewing in Dallas. I hope that Dallas can improve on this team in the years to come to make the Western Conference flow directly through the state of Texas. I want teams coming through Texas on a road trip wince in pain as they see their schedule of having to play Dallas and San Antonio on a back-to-back.

But onto tomorrow night. One game decides my choosing for NBA Champions. If Dallas pulls it out, I will be rooting for you guys to keep the title here in the state of Texas. If the Spurs pull it out, I will be screaming my lungs out and will probably be dancing in my living room but no matter what happens tomorrow, tell your team thanks for giving my team their very best.

Here is a post from a Spurs fan on our site. I appreciate this kind of post and want to assure you all that I echo this type of sentiment. If the Spurs beat my Mavs tomorrow, I will be hoping that they win it all. Keep it in Texas. I have followed the Spurs for years as a Texas team...not as much as the Mavs, but certainly more than the Rockets. Anyways....this has been an amazing series and I can't wait for tomorrow nights game. Best wishes.

That is not what I said at all. I said I am a HUGE Mavs fan and have been since their first game (of which I was in attendance). I've been to numerous Spurs games and have followed them for years, just not fanatically like the Mavs.

I'll just ignore the "lozer" remark since it doesn't warrant a response.

I have LONG hated trolls at our site and veronica (I hope) can tell you that I abuse trolls there (not her obviously) and also encourage our members to not go trolling at other sites. I also welcome those fans of opposing teams who want to talk hoops with open arms. It is always nice to get another teams fans perspective. This is the first opposing teams site that I have ever actually joined. I also tried to join spursreport but apparently they are not accepting new members right now. :)

Finley was always my favorite Mav...I have praised him all year...until this series. I have been pretty rough on him the last couple of days but he is the enemy to us now. After this series I will be a Fin fan again. But, I can't ever find it in my heart to be an NVE fan again though. :rolleyes
