Congratulations to the Spurs organization for a great season that resulted in 63 wins, the most ever for this franchise. Unfortunately, this "small ball" experiment turned out to be a failure. It's not the players' fault. They played their hearts out under strange circumstances and almost pulled it off. We will never know what the results would have been if Popovich had stayed with the lineup that landed him 63 victories. He gets some of the credit for the ooutstanding season, he gets most of the credit, in my opinion, for the unsatisfactory ending to the season. It could be that the Mavs would have beat the regular Spurs lineup anyway, but we will never know.

Mavs and Spurs had equal heart..but Mavs had the Depth's edge and Truer Centers we couldn't hang with, Dirk was the man, and in a way I'm glad he gets to advance....I kinda woulda felt bad seeing him frustrated season after season...As the leader of the team, He deserves this.

I understand your frustrations but they were sitting because Pop played fucking small ball. The only solution to not having two guys playing 1 second for the whole series is to not have them at all. Spurs would have only one real center called Tim Duncan. That's a very bad solution.

Man I am still proud of my Spurs! I haven't been on here since we went down 3-1 b/c everytime I was on here we lost. (including Sac. series). I am back on now that the season is over and I want to say that my Spurs did great this season. We showed true heart to come back and force a game 7 and have a chance to win. I love my Spurs and will continue to b/c we have class. The mavs can learn a thing or two from us about having some class and winning with class.
