My heart hurts, but I still love my Spurs. Manu, love you , but.. OUCH... game breaking foul on Dirk in the last minute. Too many mistakes cost us the year. But, you have given us many things to cheer about and made our spirits soar with your game breaking heorics and "leave it all on the court" effort. There are many more positives than negatives, and we are glad you are with us. The Spurs are a better team with you.

In any event, all the Monday morning quarterbacking will not help, we are done for the year and the Mavs are moving on. Congrats to them for a fantastic series. Good luck to the Mavs team, and choke on it, Cuban.

Thanks for an exciting season, we expect the same next year. Finley, stick around you will get that ring yet. We are far from done. Next year, maybe we can have everyone at 100%. We are so lucky to have such an exciting team and a city that supports them 100%. Get some rest, Spurs and lets get em next year !

Fans, stick around. It only gets better.

I don't really think his mistakes have cost us the year. Well yea, but not only his. Other players make many other screwups during games, but his are just very noticable since they're usually at the very end of the game.

It just wasn't in the cards this year.

Yes, I still love the SPURS, but another won slipped by in the Duncan era.
We were working on a back to back.
Now we have to get back to working for no. four.
GO! SPUR GO!

I love my Spurs. They hung with it until the very end and played very hard. The good news about Manu is he's going to play this summer so hopefully that'll build his confidence up and his rhythym going again to where he has another great year :spin :elephant

I still love my Spurs. I still believe that Spurs>Mavs.

I know we lost, but if we had to lose this was the best way.

When a team is just on fire, hitting contested jumpshot after contested jumpshot, and you come back from 20 points down and even take the lead and your mvp scores 41 points and 15 boards and Manu steps up in the fourth (except that one foul), then you can just walk away and say that the other team was just too good tonight. Most nights they would have lost this game.

That comeback showed real character.

No single loss is gonna make me stop loving my beautiful Spurs! They left it all out there on the court and that's all you can ask of a team. Plus they did it with class and style. They'll be back next season, hungrier, younger, more athletic, and (hopefully) injury-free, ready to make another run!

And maybe even-numbered years just aren't our thing.

Yep, an amazing comeback that fell just short. I dont want to think about the final minute anymore, but DAMN ! Just one play from the finals.

Still, we have lots to look forward to. I dont want anyone bitching about the refs or the lighting or that the silver dancers distracted the players. We just couldnt close it out. Dallas had it going on tonite. Amazing first half.

Every year we know that there will be one very happy city and 29 unhappy ones. We are one of the 29 this year.

Tim, Manu, Tony, Bruce, Robert, Finley... all of you. Great season. Thank you !!!

I still love these guys. I want them to win it every time. But even if they couldn't do that this year, they still showed the effort, and do it by respecting their opponents. No bitter baby crap.

I love this organization and they're the reason there's been a turnaround in GREAT UNSELFISH SUPERSTARS BUILT FOR FOR THIS YEAR'S FRANCHISES since the fall of the Evil Lakers in 04'...Now it's been a resurfacing of True competitors who respect the game, and their opponents. But the Spurs do it the best.

Don't get me wrong. I'm not a fan of settling for anything less. So I hope the Spurs aren't satisfied and do achieve that Repeat in the coming seasons..BELIEVE..

For all the disappointment everyong is feeling tonight - look at the bigger picture. We are living in great times as Spurs fans. Three titles, in contention for one every year, Tim Duncan, Tony Parker, Manu Ginobili - teams emulating the Spurs. We've seen out team come back from 3-1 to force game 7 and come back from 20 pts down to nearly pulling off a victory. It wasn't long ago in which the Spurs were accused of being soft with no heart.

I'm certain many will see this as the beginning of the end but I don't see that, I'm sure many of us here don't see that. Just need to retool and improve.

I give my love to the Spurs, a handshake for the respectful and a middle finger to the haters.

I'm proud and thankful to Duncan, Parker, Finley, Ginobli, and Bowen for giving us a good playoff run.

It's obvious the Spurs need to make some moves and then we start again next year.

I love the spurs. Classiest organization in all of sports. Always competitive and always giving back to the community. Shame the rest of the country doesn't see it our way. I hope Stern and ABC get their silly ass circlejerk of a finals between Dallas and Miami and they all spontaneously combust with glee.

GO SPURS GO!

you should. they are a great team who just won a title last year. you guys have no idea what its like being a kings fan or mavs fan never winning the big one. it sucks and some people on this forum are spoiled and think they should win the title every year. if i were you guys i would just pop in my 1999, 2003 or 2005 nba finals dvds.

I am so proud of my Spurs- so much so that the fact that we lost is almost irrelevant to me.
This was a fantastic season. My boys did me proud. :D

Oh but gosh, I miss them already!!!!!!!!!!

They are spoiled...We're still in a good position every year...I don't get why fans would give up. Especially with the effort they gave tonight. One thing I liked about the Kings Org. Is how the Cow-Town Sactown fans are really, really really behind their team 100percent.

I noticed that in the 2000 years. Props for having the patience especially when the team-chemistry kinda fizzled with Webber and all.

I don't understand why SA fans don't have that mentality when we're in a good place right now to replicate an 80's Lakers-type Dynasty. Hell...Even LA has garnered better enthusiasm, they convince themselves to like KOBE BRYANT, and we got San Antonio fans asking for a Manu, Tony, and sometimes TIM!!! trade...sheesh....It'll be good to lose these fans. They don't deserve to bask in a SA hard-earned win.

There were a ton of bandwagon fans this season, A TON! For sure these fans will move to the Mavs, and it'll be better next season when we sweep them. :spin

Maybe the Spurs should go 20 and 62 to thin out the base?

Seriously, the series could have gone either way. It was the little things, which makes sport great and compelling. I mean series like this makes sports great.

Anyhow, it's not like we got blown out of the arena like 2001, 2002. 3-1 was supposed to be the deathknell, 20 pts down should have gone to 40 but it didn't happen, clawed their way back and I'd much rather see a team go down fighting than just go down.

How can you not love a team that came back from 1-3 to tie it at 3-3, and who came back from 20 down and had two shots to win it at the end?

HEART. The Spurs have it, and I love them for it. Rest up, get healthy Tony and Gino, continue to get better Timmay, and with a little luck (and some quality offseason acquisitions) we'll be even better next season.
