I realize that we don't have one, but what would it cost us and who would you be willing to give up?

We've got Luis Scola...he's a #1 pick. We've got Javtokas...he is too.

The draft sucks. I don't want a pick.

If the Spurs couldn't move Rasho for Tariq Abdul-Wahad, there's no way they're getting a first-round pick for him.

The draft's not that good but there are still some serviceable roleplayers out there. Bobby Jones is one guy I'm interested in and is projected as an early 2nd rounder but stranger things have happened and who knows, Utah might snag him earlier than expected.

I would tend to agree with Kori. Not having a pick in the first round is far from devistating. 2007 is a different story. But that shouldn't stop the spurs from looking for the next, Manu Ginobli, Gilbert Arenas, type player out there. Someone is going to get him and it might as well be the Spurs.

Sorry Rynospursfan in case you haven't heard Ben Wallace is this years defensive player of the year. Give him his props.

What does that have to do with this thread? Ignore the signatures.

Spurs should just stay where they are with the 2nd round pick. Save the 1st round pick for the 2007 bunch. :tu

If the draft sucks, we are better off showing faith in the Sanikidze's and co.

San Antonio has a great team now.....Spurs don't need anyone other....but maybe some new player wouldn't be bad or trade rasho for some pick

I'm probably going to be crucified for this but can we use the amnesty clause (Allen Houston Clause) on Rasho? Or was that for last year only? The money could be spent on a better player in the middle. :depressed

We can't, it was only last year.

So true. No guaranteed money to anyone.

You obviously have no understanding of how the amnesty clause worked at all.

Well fill me in Pluto, instead of mocking me. I obviously asked "was that for last year only" because I wasn't sure. Gezz don’t be so pretentious. :nope

Not talking about which year but how it actually worked. Using the amnesty clause cleared no money to pay anyone else. You still had to pay the guy his entire contract amount. It only gave luxury tax relief.
