I'm always impressed by the basketball knowledge on this site. But I'm also impressed by how many people here come from so many far-flung corners of the globe to talk and rant and exchange opinions. (Maybe the two have something to do with each other?) Just in the past week, I've seen postings by fans from Iceland, Indonesia, New Zealand, Italy, for example. And then of course there are the Argentinian and French and Slovenian and Caribbean contingents.

I'm sure Kori's done something like this in the past, but why not use this thread to post where you're from, whether that's domestic or international.

Long time lurker btw, haven't posted much. Registered when it became mandatory to lurk a week or two ago. Just stationed down here with the Air Force, and never really liked the NBA beforehand (i'm from Omaha, so it doesn't get very much coverage). The way the spurs play and the way the city loves the team made me into a big Spurs fan, and I even got a 10-game plan for next season so I could get this years playoff tickets.

BTW, during game 1 of the playoffs, I sat behind someone in 213 who got free tickets from TPark and made a sign about it. I'm the one who asked him about it.

I'm currently working on a plan for next year, and if not then, definitely the year after.

If my BIG plan comes to fruition (fingers crossed), I may well be doing a PhD in Human Ecology at UT in Austin starting in 2008, but a few things have to fall into place for that to happen.
