dwight howard 08/09 qualifyin offer 09/10 FA
lebron 07/08 qualifyin offer 08/09 FA

SPURS cap projected outlook in 08/09 $50,448,703 (td/gino/rasho/tp) 09/10 $45,508,218 (td/gino/tp)

what we gotto do now is either get rid of the scrubs on this team and sign players/euro farmers to 2-3 years contracts under MLE that end around that period.

Last 2 years on Duncans max contract 08/09=$20,598,703 09/10=$22,183,218 are player options i read around. I know duncan deserves the money for what his done for this organization. But if he wishes not to pick the player option he can re-arrange the contract.
Then the team cap will be 08/09 30mill (sign lebron it goes up to 40-45mill) 09/10 23mill (ginos contract expires with lebron on team will be 37mill)
can tim duncan play for 1 dollar a season? he can always make his money from HEB adds addidas adds, or commercially adds with lebron james.

LeBron won't like playing 2nd fiddle to Tim Duncan.
He wants to run the show. Esp now that he almost made it to the EC finals.

Howard just signed an extension.

If LeBron is going anywhere else it will be to a big market team, maybe the Clippers. And Orlando will not let Howard get away after they just made a number of great moves to build around him, he is there to stay. Bosh is probably too expensive and overpriced, and by the time Paul is available Duncan will be on the downside of his career.

Spurs already have their nucleus, so I don't see any moves being made to change it. All I see them doing is tweaking the supporting cast and that is it, but I don't know if that is going to get it done considering Dallas is as young and as good as they are, if they resign Terry. The Spurs hands are sort of tied with Barry's and Rasho's contracts, they might be stuck with them.
