Spurs should go get Najera. He is the enforcer that we need. That energy guy off the bench. Someone to give a bad ass presence in the post.

If the FO is listening, please go get him. Trade Barry for him. Nuggets need a SG.

NBA FINALS 2005
Let's Repeat in '06

Duncan-3
Garnett-0

"Say what you want about Tim Duncan, but if he's playing 75-80 games, the Spurs are making the playoffs no matter what. You can't say the same about KG."-Bill Simmons

not sure how good our chances of repeting in 06 are

edited in below

we had this guy back when his name was MAILK ROSE :madrun

Malik Rose and Najera on the same team = The Butabi Brothers of the NBA.

I endorse this notion.

Eduardo Najera would be my first choice SF/PF for matching up with Dallas and Phoenix. Too bad he's locked down until next year at the earliest (player option in 2007).

najera is a dirty bastard. a najera and bowen duo could easily make san antonio one of the dirtiest teams in the league

The Spurs are in trouble if the best they can do is Najare.

That would be a great addition for the spurs against the mavs. Offensively he is crap though.

You guys want another former Mav spare? WHy?huh:huh another Ex-Mavs again?

I'd rather have Emeka Okafor or another young player than Najera. Najera's injury prone.

Let's make our new additions younger this time. The Cavaliers are showing some good signs of a bright future. Lakers & Dwight Howard's Orlando too. And their teams are young.

Let Finley stay. Add players that belongs to the new generation to learn the system while Bruce and Duncan are still here.

The Mexican would be a good fit for this team. But I don't see a way to make it happen. If Barry is going to be traded, they need to try to get J.R. Smith first.

noooooo, i really like najera and i don't want him to go to the spurs...another ex-mav going to the spurs....he would be great as a latino rep but still, NOOOOOOOOOOOO!...besides, i've heard spurs fans call him a "wetback" at a game i went to couple of years back

Najera really sucks

you obviously havent seen him play much the last 2 seasons

the guy brings more energy and hussle to the court than the rest of the Nuggets combined. He will bang down low and be all over the court after every loose ball (not reggies kind of balls though)....

Nuggets wont give him up unless its in a package. With Linas Kleiza on the scene it does kinda make Najera dispensable but a Barry trade wouldnt do it, he has been less than impressive and is getting long in the tooth.

JR Smith, now thats a SG the Nuggets are apparently going after (along with all other teams im sure lol)

We already have a Najera - his name is Robert Horry.

no they are completly different players. plus horry is done.

Horry may be done, but his contracts not. As long as the Spurs have Horry they aren't gonna go for a player like Najera. Neither of their games translate very well in these small-ball basketball days.

Najera is a 30-year-old, injury-prone, scrappy player.

Spurs are looking for a young, mobile athlete.
