Yeah so I'm needing some new music to listen to, but since I'm very closed minded when it comes to music I tend to be a tad obtuse to what's out there, so looking for some recommendations of some good music, I'm into stuff mostly like, Nin, the mars volta, tool, radiohead, etc things of that nature so maybe some of you could suggest something, thanks! :spin

anything laswell has done is pretty good. best producer out there by far. he produced rockit by herbie hancock back in the 80s, and has touched virtually every genre.

I was gonna post my new favorite singer, but, looks like he doesn't fall in this realm :lol

What realm would that be?

The original poster asked for new music so perhaps whatever you were going to suggest may be "new" to him.

Don't be a snob. :lol

No not a snob at all, he said hes closed minded, and all that was suggested is alternative and rock I assume.

I discovered this guy after watching American Idol and just love his CD.

Michael Buble.

His name is just fun to say too :lol

Well rock, alt rock, classic rock, progressive, jazz, blues, celtic, classical etc etc, but chances are you are right bro, I'm far too cynical for that haha ;)

I'm old school classic rock but I have been listening to...is it 91.3?

But I've gone from hippie rock in the 60's to the classic rock era through the 80's and Prince and the long hair bands to Country & Tejano when I moved down here to the grunge hoopla then sure enough..I hit that age when I realized I was a classic rock guy and just really couldn't get into the newer music.
But I'm open minded but I'm just not in my 20's any more.

Times..they are a changin'.

I'm going to check out some of those links though and try to keep what little, if any, of my youth alive.
