You must be this tall to serve

A judge said a 5-foot-1 man convicted of sexually assaulting a child was too small to survive in prison, and gave him 10 years of probation instead.

His crimes deserved a long sentence, District Judge Kristine Cecava said, but she worried that Richard W. Thompson, 50, would be especially imperiled by prison dangers.

This is sure to set off a "little people" crime wave.

"You are a sex offender, and you did it to a child," she said.

But, she said, "That doesn't make you a hunter. You do not fit in that category."

A judge without good judgement. More concerned for the safety of the criminal than the safety of innocent children? Maybe they can release all of the "big" prisoners that imperil the safety of "little" prisoners...

They both need to be put into the same cell, maybe she'll see him in a different light after that.
Incompetent low-life piece of garbage for a judge!

Maybe Kristine Cecava can herself get raped by a short person. Then we'll see how she feels about it.

Shorty must have laughed all the way home to do his time. Another fine member
of the judicial has their beliefs imposed on the public.

I'm surprised she didn't give him a shorter sentence.
