Does it remind anybody else of the prank where you put a flaming bag of dog crap on somebody's porch, ring their bell and run, and laugh when they stomp the flames out?

Not really. It could probably use an update, but I think it's one of the better logos in the league.

Michigan doesn't have beaches huh? They just have the most coastline of any state in the Union. But hey I guess that isn't a lot of beaches. Hot girls on South Beach isn't gay at all, but adorning your arena and fans in white is. The NHL called, they want their stupid-ass gimmicks back.

Isn't the whole southern half of Florida full of gays? Miami is the San Francisco of the East coast.

It's a good logo, but i always thought the flaming basketball was a mimic of the Suns. They've had a flaming ball in some sense their entire history.

just make sure you check that they're really girls before you do anything. I'll just go back to freezing my ass off in our 90 degree weather and wondering what coastline looks like.

You agree that city smack is not cool....then you continue to do it?

So....Miami is the place where more people want to live than Detroit. You have proof of this? Looks like you were typing what you think is fact and as such would require proof...otherwise its just an opinion which can neither be right or wrong.

Sorry, I didn't do my homework first, I thought I read that Michigan does. I know that they are up there for sure. I was just trying to counter the arguement that Michigan doesn't have any beaches. We do. We may only get to enjoy them for eight months out of the year, but they do exist. Look at a map if you don't believe me.

It's a good logo, but i always thought the flaming basketball was a mimic of the Suns. They've had a flaming ball in some sense their entire history.

It may be a small distinction, but one appears to be burning, as if kerosine were thrown on the ball and like on fire, and the other appears to be burning from extensive heating of the basketball - like if a basketball burned up from the inside, such as the friction of the earth's atmosphere stopping a meteorite or the slow-burn of a piece of charcoal.

It's a gray area in a way that I can get the Marlins and Mariners screwed up, but it's not a complete ripoff.

Four Brothers wasnt filmed in Detroit.
Also, anyone who refers to their city as "sexy" is gay.

Recent movies I know being filmed in Detroit were Out of Sight (George Clooney, Jennifer Lopez) and The Island (Ewan McGregor, Scarlett Johansson),

Four Brothers was set in Detroit, but it was filmed in Toronto I believe, or Montreal or some Canadian city.

samikeyp is so annoying with his "thats just your opinion" semantics. listen aristotle, it doesn't take a PhD to know that Detroit is a notorious shithole of a city, while Miami at least has some obvious upsides.

I would rather live in almost any other major city rather than Detroit, with the exception of the vast cultural wasteland known as Houston, TX.

metropolitan area rankings by population:

8. Detroit
12.Miami

with a difference of about 2 million people. I guess not everyone is dying to leave the area.

haha...more people= better city huh?

that is too funny.
im pretty sure there are factors other than "coolest city in the world" (economics for instance) that play into the equation of where people end up living.

...by your definition houston texas is a top 5 city. i assure you if youve ever been to that godless urban sprawl that this is not the case.
