manny, if you watch the local channels, they have various companies in san antonio like H-E-B or Zachery employees holding spurs signs and flags...and a representative of each company says "from all of us at said company, thank you spurs for a great season" then they chant "Go Spurs Go!" i see them EVERY commercial break right now on KSAT12.

another one JUST came on...tune in to KSAT12 during commerical breaks and you will see what iam talking about. for those not in san antonio your out of luck. basically various local businesses have their employees gathered around in MASSES and a rep says "from all of us at XYZ, thank you spurs for a great season"

its nice to see that even in defeat, the city doesnt forget what the spurs have given us, and how much they do for the community.

They're not actually Spurs commercials, at least they're not anything the Spurs paid for. During the playoffs, KSAT12 will send camera crews out to various businesses and schools and get footage of people dressed in Spurs gear, holding signs, etc., chanting GO SPURS GO...you get the idea. These "thank you" things are along the same lines.

Pretty classy move by the local businesses if that is what is going on. Very nice.

The relationship between San Antonio and the Spurs is one of the best city-team relationships in all of pro sports (Not quite Green Bay Packer material, but still impresive nonetheless).

Win or lose, I still love the Spurs!

spurschick ur right, these commercials are NOT paid for by the spurs. they are funded by local businesses who want to show their appreciation.
