They'd have the title this year, no doubt about it.

Indeed. How can you have a victory with no victory cigar?

Pistons were wise to draft Darko over D Wade, they knew the league would be too stacked otherwise

Drafting Darko = bad pick

Not drafting Carmelo Anthony = the right call

Not drafting Chris Bosh = probably the one real missed opportunity

Not drafting Dwyane Wade = no one expected Wade to be this good, certainly not Denver or Toronto either

We should of taken Bosh.

If they had drafted Bosh, would they still have traded for Rasheed?

Pau Gasol.

Most of the time, but not an absolute.

Yes because Bosh was a project not ready to play big spurts.

Odds are probably, because Larry Brown would have likely not played Chris Bosh either.

The thing about that is the Atlanta Hawks may have insisted that the Pistons include Chris Bosh in the trade for Rasheed Wallace, seeing how he was a college star at Georgia Tech and a young, talented big man. Now, would Joe Dumars had relented and given up Bosh as well? Interesting questions.

This is to all who thought Darko was just a human victory cigar and couldn't help the pistons

Remind me again, who did the Pistons give up for Rasheed?

Draft pick Chucky atkins and Hunter.

I think that was all it was a three way with Boston as the third team.

ShoogarBear

So, basically, just the draft pick. Larceny.

Technically, the Pistons gave up Chucky Atkins, Lindsey Hunter, Bob Sura, Zeljko Rebraca, and a #1 pick for Rasheed Wallace, Mike James. And they got Hunter back.

I dont agree. Bosh can at least speak English. Peeps forget, for the first year, Darko never understood a word that came out of Brooklyn's mouth.

The catch to the whole thing is, the entire league and media thought Darko was a great pick. At the time of the draft, NO ONE was complaining about the pick.

Hindsight is 20-20. Shit happens.
