I know I'm new here but I have been a Spurs fan since Micheal Jordan left Chicago. I love Tim & Company and I was sick beyond words to see my team beat by a group I believe we were superior too. I stood there with my Tim Duncan Jersey and Spurs hat on watching this sports horror unfold. So I'm pretty mad right now. So I believe next year we should come back with an edge like never before and get some payback. 2007 YEAR OF PAYBACK!!!
What do you think? :madrun

People have asked me why I am a Spurs fan. I have told them, among other reasons, I even love the image of the organization. Spurs are quality group. So it really pains me when we don't get the respect we deserve. Next season we will finish what we started this season: TO WIN ANOTHER CHAMPIONSHIP, KICK BUTT, AND GET SOME PAYBACK!!!! 2007 YEAR OF PAYBACK!!!

Agree completely. Which also means we'll trounce the Mavs along the way.

With any luck, in the WCF. That would almost be worth losing this year...

The Spurs are too big to beat the Mavs. They need more small players.

and younger athletic players who can keep up with terry and harris because they owned the spurs in that series.

-Yao Ming & TMac will be healthy.
-Amare returns
-young Lakers team will be more agressive having made this yr's playoffs.
-Dallas is still a threat
-the "other" L.A. team will get better
-Memphis is still in the West
-KG too! (i hope he'll sign with the Knicks)
what an overcrowded Western Conference playoffs teams :rolleyes
Possibly, but not an easy road for the Spurs.
Let's see

If your path to the championship involves little rocks on the road, you have to kick them out your way.
PS little rocks = mavs in case you were a little slow on the uptake

mavs will repeat as nba champs in 2007. --> :king
as for lowly spurs, they will get third in their division and barley make the playoffs. they will lose in the first round. but don't worry spurs you may win another title in a decade or two. :lol

Stupid Mavfan Post of the Day.
That's a high honor, as you have a lot of competition.

to mavfan 55, listen as listen well.
(1) you haven't won a ring yet--- so stop smelling yourself
(2) there is nothing more dangerous than a wounded animal --- and this one
really hurts.
(3) revenge is a dish best served cold --- its a long time till next years playoff
You guys made it pass us over one foul...one foul. But you guys won and I give you that. However, defeat only strengthens the resolve of a true champion and next season will be sweeter for us when we take back our title, kick booty, and get some payback. THEN we go on to finally repeat. Tony will be even better (work on your jumper & 3 shot Tony, be a gym rat & pack on some more muscle), Manu will be 100% (forget the foul MG all NBA greats have had regretable moments, let it make you better and not bitter), our roster will be better (hey Spurs clean house !!!), Pop will have better strategies (with some younger guys then fine we can play at least some of that small ball crap), and lastly Tim D will be 100% (take care of that foot over summer dude). GO SPURS GO!!! 2007 IS YEAR OF PAYBACK!!! :madrun

tell your schoolboy(Diop), to work hard in the summer because the only thing he can beat Duncan is when Tim is exhausted. If not, you can't win a series again against the Spurs. We will be using big men next time not the small ball bu__shit! :smokin

Exactly. They BARELY win a 7-game series over the Spurs, and instantly they crown themselves both 2006 AND 2007 champions. LMAO!

Yes, Rasho will play too. But will he still be a Spur?
I know Spurs will be hungry in 2006/2007, there will be a lot of fun, I am hoping for happy end.

Manu will play like a possessed man this coming season. I predict that his quest for self-redemption will be the key element to the Spurs winning the championship next year. (fwiw, I believe we're going to win #4 and #5 back-to-back in the next two years.)

It's still going to be the big 3 in the west - Suns, Mavs, Spurs. If the Mavs beat the Suns they'll have two teams next year looking for payback. A tough challenge indeed. But if Amare comes back healthy and the Suns return to the form they had before KT went down they will be mighty tough to beat.

Mavs won't be so tough next year. Heard they might get rid of the free throw line.

Phoenix with a healthy Amare is WAY more scarier than the Mavs.
Anyway, as much as payback would be super sweet, we can't overlook the fact that the Mavs are just one out of 29 teams in our way for a championship. We need to focus on the big picture here.
