How many San Antonio posters would be willing to get together for world cup watching? I think the games are way more enjoyable when you watch them with other people. Of interest to me are Mexican and US games, but seeing as I make my own work schedule, there will probably not be any games I miss.

Manny, you should really try to watch some games from Group C. I think that group will be pretty even and go down to the wire. Group E will be tough as well.

I'll be trying to sneak peaks of the games while at work, but I'd be up for getting together for some night games.

Group E will be tough as well.David, in 02 I watched almost every single game. I'd come home from work, go to sleep, then wake up as the first game was coming on. I'd then stay up all damn night watching the games then head off to work. I have a Polish friend who praticaly moved into our apartment. He and another of my roomates watched all the games together.

Actually, it was probably one of the funnest months of my life. Unfortunetly ( :lol ) all of us are living with women now who would probably be upset if we spent a month with 2 other guys like that.

Are ABC and ESPN (1 and 2) the only networks here in the U.S. televising the matches? I've tried to find a schedule on some of the spanish language stations, but I'm not having much luck.

I'm pretty sure I've heard that Univision will televise the matches as well. I assume all the games featuring the Latin American countries will be shown live.

If your ISP is associated with ESPN 360, you can watch all the games on the computer for free!

I don't have high expectations for Mexico's team this year... LaVolpe's (coach) personal feud with Mexico's best player, Cuahtemoc Blanco, kept him off of the team. Instead, LaVolpe's brother in law, "Chiquis" Garcia, who doesn't even start on his club team earned a spot on the national team.... :wtf :wtf...

I'm hoping the US can sneak out of their group... it will be tough.

Yeah, WTF was teh deal with Blanco being left off the team? That shit pissed me off! I know they marched on the headquaters of the team and all that, but I have no clue what actually happend. I love Blanco.

I am all for a good tourament for the socceroos under guidance from Guus Hiddink. Technically it was meaningless, but a tie with Australia is dissapointing for a team of the likes of Holland http://spurstalk.com/forums/images/smilies/smiembarassed.gif

granted, but do you honestly believe Holland tied that game because they wanted to give the rest of the world a false sense of security? http://spurstalk.com/forums/images/smilies/smilol.gif give me a break.
