Great season, setting a franchise record with 64 wins, getting 4 players to the All Star game, and even though I didn't like it as much...getting yet another DPOY for Ben Wallace.
This season seems surreal to me, after the two blowout wins you guys got against us, the entire season, I spend worrying how the hell the Spurs were going to beat you guys in the Finals. The craziest thing was, I never once doubted that their would be any other two teams. I prayed that we'd get Miami instead since they looked/seemed so beatable. Mavs never even crossed my mind that they could beat us in a 7 game series. Alas, that's why I guess the NBA playoffs can be surprising (and heartbreaking) at times.
Anyways, you guys had a great season, and I still believe that you have the best starting 5 in the NBA. You guys just need a stronger bench and a better coach (PJ and even Rick Adelman would be better fits than Flip). I hope Dumars doesn't trade away anyone in your starting 5. I want a rematch of what could/should have been this season.....next season.
:smokin
Long live the Spurs and Pistons! :lol

This could be miami's last crack at it because Shaq is ancient, and Zo and Payton aren't getting any younger.

:pctoss I don't want Shaq, Zo, Walker, Payton getting any rings. I'd rather the Mavs win. Although, I won't be watching the Finals this season.

Same here. I'm hoping the Suns somehow pull off the unpredictable now.

If Pistons couldn't, I'm sure Suns can't. Mavs will close it out tonight. Book it. :depressed

this team can't win being the top dog. I posted this on the pistons site. I hope no one makes the all star team, I hope we get don't get a historical regular season, I hope people write us off, I hope Ben doesn't get the most DPOY in the history of this league etc. Because this team is better when it has a chip on it's shoulder.

Fuck... the Pistons and Spurs had the two best records posted in the NBA since 1998 and neither even wins their conference. :(

What happened? I'm so confused. What went so terribly wrong in that 2nd game against Cleveland that caused the Pistons to lose. :huh

Pistons suck. I was predicting they would lose awhile ago. They are old and slow. The 3 year reign of Detroit is now over unless they make a trade to get Garnett or something.

You don't win 64 games and suck. They sucked in the playoffs, but it's not like they all of a sudden became a shitty team from here on out. Something happend. A slump, injuries, poor coaching, ran out of gas. Something. But it's not like the roster all of a sudden just didn't have enough talent. It's something that is fixable.
And don't pat yourself on the back for predicting they would lose. 29 out of 30 teams lose. Real fucking impressive with those 96.6% odds.

Props to the Pistons. I was hoping the Mavs would face the Pistons in the finals. (Hopefully, the Mavs make it.)

I won't be watching the Finals this season.
Same thing
It is really going to piss me off when we get the ratings shoved down our throats if the ratings are better this year from last year

Why don`t you guys want to watch NBA Finals. Ok, I know that there are Miami and Mavs in the finals but still. That looks like that you guys are not real NBA fans.
Perhaps it is going to be be very interesting.

I'm an NBA fan, I just really don't like the Miami team and Cuban and AJ have really annoyed me after our series this year. So while I'll be interested to know who wins, I'm not exactly interested in watching them. Although I would prefer if Dallas wins over Miami :lol

Exactly! I'd be watching regardless who's playing. It's still the championship of my favorite sport. I don't think I've missed a game of the NBA finals in 30 years. I love it and, obviously, I love it even more since my favorite team is in the for the first time.

I hope that your team will kick Shaq`s ass.
