That said a good start for the Suns, leading 8-3 as Dallas is on fire, shooting 1-8. TO Mavs.

Dallas looking like a team that's played too many games in too short a time so far ... Dirk's getting a blow after an ineffective ten minutes (1 point, 1 board, 2 assists).

Mavs show a little life getting some easy layups at the end of the quarter but trail after one, 29-14.

1st quarter stats:
Dallas 6-21 FG (0-6 3FG), 2-3 FT, 6 Reb (0 OReb), 2 AST, 1 STL, 2 TOs, 7 PFs.
Suns 11-18 FG (0-2 3 FG), 7-8 FT, 15 Reb (1 OReb), 3 AST, 2 STL, 2 TOs, 4 PFs.

I expected this kind of 1st half from the Suns tonight. It's the 2nd half that I'm questioning. With that said, I still think this series is going to Game 7.

Boris Diaw and Josh Howard are playing like no one can guard them. Maybe they should guard each other!

CubanMustGo
06-03-2006, 08:22 PM
Dirk is really struggling to find his shot tonight ... 1-6.

Devin Harris picks up his third foul (as did Leandro Barbosa earlier). Suns up 44-26 after Marion's three, 6:15 left in the half.

Tim Thomas picks up his third on the next possession.

Man, Bavetta is the maybe the worst official in the league. I used to think Salvatore was, but Dick may have surpassed him. Every time you tune into a Bavetta game you expect to see terrible officiating now, and he rarely disappoints...

edit: I don't mean to say that either team is benefitting from this, just saying the quality of the officiating in general is fucking terrible. Let the players decide the game!

As a Suns fan, I don't think the refs are being biased this game.

But I do think the refs need to just back the fuck off and let this game progress like it should, rather than calling ticky-tack fouls that don't really affect the game all that much.

I know he doesn't, he made one stupid mistake. He isn't bruce bowen, he doesn't intentionally try to make players roll their ankles coming down from a shot. Or kick players in the face. :lol

It looks like D'Antoni forgot who went off for 20 points in the first half, because Diaw isn't even getting touches on offense in the second half.

but Steve Nash is the MVP, right?

If you told me early in the season that the Heat would be playing Dallas in the finals, I would have told you to seek professional mental, psychiatric help. Nevermind mind that. God would have to save you from your misery

If you would have told me the suns with out Amare Joe Johnson and Qrich would be back in the WCF i wouldn't have believed it.

Worst officiating I've seen since Game 2 Mavs/Spurs... wow

It must've been the refs who were missing shots and turning the ball over that eventually led to the blowing once again of a double digit lead for the Suns. :rolleyes

Damn, D'Antoni is as bad as Flip. :td

Thomas goes off in game 5 in the first half, and he's an afterthought on offense in the second.

Diaw goes off tonight in the first half, and is relegated to being the weak side spot up shooter for his team in the second half.

Heat vs Mavs in the Finals

JMarkJohns

Suns played the worst three quarters of ball I've ever seen. It starts with Nash and goes on down. The officiating sucked, but it sucked both ways. Suns had every opportunity to extend their lead to 25 points or more early in the game. They never did and gave Dallas every indication that the game was still up for grabs.

Congratulations to Dallas and their fans. Their team beat the Suns.

You play who ya got.
You beat who ya play.
You don't allow yourself to be put in a position where bad officiating can decide a game for you.

Dallas did these things the best in this series and are advancing.

Suns will be back, so long as their frontcourt heals and chickenman doesn't slash payroll the way a bitter ex slashes your new tires.

Dallas V Miami should be an exciting series.

All the fouls they called on Dallas in the first half, weren't called at all in the second half. Suns didn't know what to do and didn't hit any shots. Good luck against the Heat ---they'll need it.
