Nazr Mohammed reportedly has turned down a four-year contract extension from the San Antonio Spurs and appears ready to leave the team via free agency. There's a strong possibility Mohammed, a 6-10 center, will end up with the Bulls.

It looks like Bulls need a big guy like NAZR, is there any rumour how much NAZR is asking?

I see Bulls is an undersized young team, so he'll probably be starter there.

sounds too much money for NAZR, in Bulls roster he won't be a contributor he'll ask for rebounds, guard big guys and finish those airballs that travel around.

The trade was awesome because:

-they gave up a big made for "small ball" who had done well against Dallas in two prior playoff meetings.
-they gave up two 1st round picks.
-Mohammed is walking.
-Holt Cat has more money to spend on booze.

Spurs wouldn't be spending MLE this year if they still had Malik's contract hanging around there necks. Deal with it. Every owner save maybe Dolan and possibly Cuban is trying to stay or get under the luxury tax limit. Might as well bitch about every owner if you want to bitch about Holt.

Check what Sarver is saying. He's saying basically no way he is going into luxury tax territory, and this is a guy who has given up talent and definitely will be giving up talent in the future to avoid that tax. Of course if he can continue to find dumbshits like Atlanta he won't suffer for it.

Actually it's 07-08 that will kill Sarver. He'll be dealing with resigning Barbosa and Diaw. At the rate Diaw is going he'll command a max contract. You really think Sarver will carry Marion, Stoudamire, Nash and Diaw's mega-contracts and sizeable contracts for Barbosa and Bell as well?

Next couple of years East teams will feel they need to sign a banger or two to matchup against Shaq and the Heat. We've been through it in the West. Ben for all his defense palys Shaq horribly. Nazr and Rasho are both more effective against Shaq. Still you want Nazr, you're welcome.

Keep in mind that my reference point is Ben Wallace.

And the Bulls did a fine job against O'Neal with the "big men" they had. Particularly with O'Neal rapidly declining and soon to be completely finished, that isn't much of an issue. What they need is interior offense, that Nazr can't really provide.

Ben jump shoot stats (regular season) :
Short (<17) :4/18
Medium (17 to <3 point line) : 3/16

How about Nazr's 5 fouls in 6 minutes in January?

As for Nazr, I think it will hurt his free agency that everyone assumes the Spurs do not want him back. For Pete's sake, he got beat out of his spot by Rasho Nesterovic twice this season. People keep thinking he will get a lot of money, but I predict a MLE contract.

Right. The only thing that would have changed in our series with the Mavs this year was that six of the foul calls going on Horry, Finley, and Bowen for having the audacity to make physical contact with Dirk would have been on Rose instead.

None of those guys can rebound like Rose can. He may get whistled out of the game more often than not, but he will also grab some boards while he is in the game.

Didn't Dirk have like a 25 rebound game against us? Sure, that has nothing to do with using guards to defend him.

He also didnt help us win the title in ´05 so quit sucking his fuckin dick. I´m sure you were this pro-Malik when he was throwing balls out of bounds and dribbling them off his foot, all the while commanding a gigantic salary. Dallas beat us, we had our chances to win, and Malik wouldnt have changed shit. In retrospect, I would like to have those 1st round picks but I would trade them for that 2005 title any day.
