Before the draft, I would have picked the Broncos. But I think the drafting of Jay Cutler is gonna put WAY too much pressure on Plummer, and we all know what happens to the snake when the pressure is on. Unless Cutler is Big Ben Jr., the Broncos are at least a season away.

Oh, and the Giants are gonna win the Superbowl.

The easy bets are the Colts, Steelers, and I'd hate to say it because I'm sick of them, but the Patriots. However, these three teams also have the best odds according to the latest lines. If I were to pick some mid-range teams that would win you some good money I'd go with either the Panthers because they seriously upgraded their offense by adding Keyshawn. No longer will teams be able to double or triple team Smith or bring a safety over the top to cover him because Keyshawn will Nickel and Dime teams all the way down the field. There defense was strong last season as well and they kept damn near all of them during the off-season. Doubling up on Smith didn't work last year so imagine what single coverage is going to do for him. Furthermore, they now have a solid core in the backfield that will not be plagued with injury but even if they do there offensive line will more then makeup for a guy that maybe only runs a 4.5. As for my other mid range pick, the Dolphins. Now, this could go either way, the Dolphins looked EXTREMELY strong in the second half of last season and I think Saban finally got them working as a team. The reality of the Dolphins this year though is that they will only be as good as Culpepper allows them, if he plays well, they go deep into the playoffs, if he plays like he did at the beginning of last season, they are done. Just think what Chris Chambers will be able to do this year with Ronnie Brown as the feature back and Culpepper throwing him the deep ball, the guy can out leap any corner in the league and has unreal hands. THe last I looked, the Panthers and Dolphins were coming in at around 20-1. Now, for my emotional pick, I'm taking the Broncos, I'm from Denver and love that franchise more then any team, so take this pick for what it's worth. But the offense was seriously upgraded just by adding a legit #2 receiver and frankly, Walker is a number one most other places. The defense lost there best linemen, but he hasn't played well for a couple of seasons and will probably be plauged by injury yet again. Darrent Williams and Dominique Foxworth both have a season of solid playing time under their belts and should be potential pro-bowlers. But, like I said, this is an emotional pick from me, so most likely, not a good pick. I like the Giants as well for a sleeper. Sorry this was so long, but I can't fucking wait for football to start again.

Oh, and fuck the Cowboys. I hope T.O. breaks his fucking leg in pre-season and the Jerry Jones dies...........also an emotional pick.

Playing in a relatively weak division gives the Seahawks a good chance at having the best record in the NFC. If they have home field advantage in the playoffs nobody is going to beat them.

I'm totally with you on THAT one. I cannot stand that fuckwit. My daddy would spank me if I said I hated TO because I'm supposed to respect pro athletes, but TO is the first guy I've thought was a prick of epic proportions since Conrad Dobler roamed the NFL. :madrun

I like the Giants to win the Big Dance. I'm soooooooooooooooo sick of New England. Fuck, if they get in again, it will be just like another re-run night of Law & Order.

Did the colt's get rid of their moron kicker?
The Colt's kicker, Mike Vanderjagt, was signed by the Cowboys and the Colts signed Adam Vinatieri out from under the Patriots. The "moron" is still a huge upgrade for the Cowboys considering last year's kicking problems.

I still doubt the Cowboys get beyond a first round playoff outing. I thought last year was the Colt's best chance they'd get. I can't imagine they get lucky enough to have a great running back fill Edge's shoes.

Actually, Addai is faster than Edge, plus he has as nice a set of hands so he could be an all-down back like Edge was. Rhodes and Mungro are nice backups at RB. IND lost Triplett and Thornton on D, but they have guys who can replace them.

Let's see, he says the Colts would never win the super bowl with PM as a QB and then when he has a chance, he blows it, that's pretty moronic.

Just don't count on him making a clutch FG.

I'm not just thinking back to the Steeler game, but many before that as well like the GW he missed in the wildcard OT loss to Miami and the 2004 opener in NE.

But he's right- Manning does choke in the big playoff games too.

JESUS FUCKING CHRIST

Did this thread just begin recently? This ISN'T last year's shot? If either of those teams gets back to the SB, I'm going to start watching movies. I am SICK to death of Tom Brady. Big Ben really fucked himself up last week rolling through a windshield, but he'll see some playing time. Probably not all season, that mean someone else has to take the slick out of Brady.

What needs to happen, just to make the SB appear to be "Patriots Return IV" free, is that we put energy behind Peyton. Shake Brady and his line, maybe they buckle. Give someone an edge in their conference to nudge them out.

Come on. Be honest. The last team you want to see AGAIN is New England.

McKenzie

They belong to the same conference. They cannot possibly make it to the Super Bowl. One would have to take the other out.

Cowboys and Pittsburg? The Cowboys have an edge with Big Ben wiping out on the cycle. He may start late, giving Dallas forward motion.
