When you look at his playoff performance on a bum foot, I'd like to see how he shows up next year feeling healthy.

I doubt Nash gets it 3 years in a row. It'll probably be Dirk vs Duncan and I think Duncan's defense and overall stats will give him the edge like it has in the past against the Garnett's of the league.

Oh, and that kid ... what's his name, something James.

Anything is possible. It's nice to know the haters saw what a mostly-recovered Duncan can do.

The MVP award will go to Kobe, Dwayne Wade, Lebron, or Nowitzki (in that order of likelyhood).

The "real" mvp will be ......... Timmy Duncan.

Pop doesn't give him enough minutes and he has talent surrounding him now that gets a lot of credit, he will not win the MVP again, unless Ginobili or Parker go down with an injury that takes them away for most of the season. LeBron, Wade, Dirk, and Kobe are most likely to get it, and if Houston does what they are capable of doing T-Mac has an outside chance.

The only MVP trophy that matters is the finals MVP... nothing else... going for the 4th championship is more important. :)

I wouldn't be surprised if he comes back and has one of his best years next year, but as for the trophy, it's probably Lebron's or Kobe's.

Its unlikely he'll get the minutes next season.. Pop will rest him as much as possible for the playoffs.

I don't really give a fuck if we coast.

As long as TP/Duncan/Manu aren't hurt. Plus I'll take 63 wins coasting any year. :elephant

I don't think he will win but he'll still be groundhog dude for us.

With the talent he has around him the only way that happens, is if the Spurs win 70, which they won't

He needs to politely ask TP to suck his...I mean, take the 3rd option role.

It should be TD > Manu > TP on most nights, varying if one's on fire or something.

It'll be Dirk, no matter what kind of year he has.

I'd agree with the makeup theory, but I think the NBA wants Lebron, and he got way more votes then he deserved this year, so next year, who knows?

Timmy won't win MVP ever again, but it doesn't matter.

His stats are down because we now have the big 3, and he's fashionable to diss because he's "boring" according to the media (uuuuugghhh, I hate it when people call him that - controlled, utterly proficient, consistent, dominant, and that makes him boring?), and the league now has guys like James and Wade, gaudy highlight-reel guys (and fantastic players) who will probably win the next 4 MVPs between them.

But it's better to fly under the radar anyway.

Timmy for President, seriously. He don't need no more MVP trophies.

Yea only thing that matters is at least one more championship in the Duncan era...

I don't think he cares about personal awards at this point of his career.

If he stays injury free I would think he would finish in the top 3 but with the year James had at only 21 years of age he's bound to get better and that shoud garner him the award next year.
A 34/8/8 year coming up for Lebron.

I think Tim will win the Finals MVP. Honestly, I don't think Tim cares either way about the regular season crap. He's too unselfish and the Spurs too deep for him to pad his stats over 82 games as is needed to win that popularity contest.

If he wins the MVP I hope we don't start the stupid MVP chant when he shoots free throws during the playoffs.

MVP? Been there done that. Been there done that.

This year he didn't finish anywhere near the top and if not for a boneheaded dumb fucking choke job play by Many they'd be ready to take home #4 starting tomorrow night.

All I want is postseason health for TD. And less fuckups by Manu.
