I finally gave up on my boycott and started using it.

It's not all that bad. Your thoughts?

wtf boycott?

I mean, its the best way to get shit out there.

If its somehow meant to be a stand against piracy thats fair enough, but put it this way, I support bands by attending there gigs and buying there cd's if small indipendant acts without a label.

I don't really watch indie movies... but if I really enjoy a movie I'll but it.

I use torrents, and I still support the people that need supporting in the entertainment industries. Which I think is more important than supporting the people at the top of the MPAA and RIAA as there already rolling in it.

All of it is copyright infringement.

if you're downloading copyrighted material, you're breaking the law. Also know this: in P2P networks your IP is visible and you can be tracked down.

Downloading is fine if you own a license for the material. Sharing it on the other hand....

You can set your sharing to zero with a torrent client.

yeah, i remebered that... anyway i doubt he's downloading stuff he already has.

MannyIsGod

Yeah, I doubt that as well. The point is that they can't really go after people who are doing the downloading because of the difficulty they have prooving it was illegal. Tahts why all legal action to date has been against people sharing.

Mostly when you are downloading you are shareing at the same time
