I must thank the A's for beating the Dodgers and helping my Pads join them in a tie for first.

What was all that talk about the NL West being weak?

Shame the Diamondbacks had to go in the shitter.

That division was playing insanely great just two weeks ago and now every team except the Padres is struggling, but the Diamondbacks losing 12 of 13 and Dodgers barely (if even) playing .500 ball has lessoned its overall claim as the best division in baseball.

I think that one clearly goes to the AL East right now, with the AL Central and the NL West being a pretty distant second and third.

Its prob weaker than last year.

Colorado is a joke, the Cardinals just beat them VERY easily.

The Padres have zero hitting outside of Giles. (BTW Khalil Greene is the most overrated player in baseball Dan Patrick NOT David Eckstein)

Arizona is bad.

San Francisco is horrible too.

The whole division is loaded with below average teams.

its sad.

Whoever from NL East and central, get an easy 3-0 into the NLCS.

Yeah the Cardinals did it last year, but it didn't help them in preperation.

Dodgers have a pretty formidable lineup. Garciaparra has been playing like an MVP and JD Drew has actually played most of the season.

There rotation is pretty solid, especially if this kid Billingsley is the real deal. He throws 95 pretty consistently. Kevin Kennedy compares him to Tim Belcher.

But they don't have a closer. And if Gagne is done, that will be probably be their downfall. When Gagne did pitch, he looked tough. He can still change speeds as well as anyone not named Hoffman.

Hey man, I used to love the A's when Billy Martin was the manager.

Tony Armas, Rickey Henderson, and Dwayne Murphy was the shit.

"Billy ball. A's baseball. Billy ball. A's baseball."

I hope he is, too. I picked him up in our fantasy league.

Good choice. Physically, the dude looks strong. The only drawback is that the Dodgers really don't have a stud closer unless Gagne gets back.

.

Lets use some logic here TPark.

First, you say the division is weaker than last year, yet all teams are at or above .500. Please explain how it is weaker.

I never here Khalil Greene's name mentioned in the media, so how is he overrated? He is an amazing fielder and has power. His average is low but I believe he leads the shortstops in the NL with HR's and RBI's. Overrated?

The whole division is loaded with below average teams that are above .500?
