Strengths: Tough nosed wing with solid skills ... Gutsy player ... Fearless taking the ball to the basket ... Has the strength to take smaller players inside, and the perimeter skills to beat bigger players outside ... Very good at scoring around the basket, draws fouls with fakes ... Plays hard every game, applies himself on defense ... Out works better athletes, hustles ... Good rebounder, strong frame ... Solid outside and mid range shooter ... Decent ability to create shots for himself ... Solid ball handling ability for a forward ... Experience having played NCAA ball at it's highest level (ACC) for 4 years ...

Weaknesses: Good athlete, but not outstanding ... Lacks a standout attribute, one of those guys who is solid at everything but doesn't standout at anything ...Lacks great range ... Needs to improve upon his shot selection, can get too assertive at times, shooting the ball with a defender on him ... Not very quick feet, lacks a good first step ... Lacks great vision, passing skills ... Foot speed makes him just an average perimeter defender ...

He seems like a Matt Harpring type, minus a few skills. Even though NBADraft.net currently has us taking him at 59, I can't see the Spurs taking such a marginal player just to cut him. Americanos no like playing overseas. If this is SA's only pick, they'll probably take a fer'ner and leave him on simmer overseas.

#59 will be an international player unless they really like an available domestic player at that spot or the pick is included in a trade.

Caner-Medley was a super hot shit as a freshman who never lived up to his promise.
