the following is cut and pasted from db.com. this isnt what i wrote, its something a mavericks fan wrote....

The Finals are not about the refs/Fix its about the team within:
What Im about to show you guys will blow many of you away. Dirk Nowitzki is either a Superstar and his teammates dont want him to be or he simply dissapeared from the playoffs. You be the judge on whose to blame. For the final 4 games that were lost he is the biggest shock.

Game 3: Dirk had 1 point in the final 2 minutes of a great game it came on a free throw.

Game 4: Dirk had 0 points in the entire 4th qtr.

Game 5: Dirk attempted one jump shot in the final 2 minutes of the game. That was also all the points he had in the entire 4th qtr. The so called Fix he wasnt even a part of.

Game 6: Dirk had 0 attempts from the field in the final two minutes and had 0 field goals for the entire 4th qtr. He did make 2 ft however.

Now there several routes to take on this

1. Is Dirk not a superstar, but simply a great role player?

2. Does the team and the coach does not respect him as a superstar?

3. 4games? This has to be Dirk dissapearing. He had a total of 3 points in the final 4games of the series when it counted.

4. All of the above

How bad this offseason do the Mavericks need a point guard that can recognize how important Dirk is to this franchise....

Dirk almost stepped up to superstar status with his performance against San Antonio.

But after his disappearing act (CHOKING!!!) in the Finals he is back to being simply the best German the Mavericks have ever had.

Does anybody else remember Ewe Blab?

Man, I'd hate to be a fan in that organization today. I can just imagine the bad mouthing going on right now and who's blaming who and what the hell just happened. Makes you wonder what their sportstalk will be like today. Wish I was up their to hear it. Shoot, I'm looking forward to ours as soon as I get off work at 4.

Well, Jet certainly wasn't helping to get Dirk going...he kept throwing up bad shots and trying to take it into Mournings face and getting rejected...Terry missed his last 11 shots...

Erick Dampier can barely contain himself, no doubt.
