I'm pretty sure most of the pople on this forum have gotten wasted a few times in their lives and have just said a bunch of crazy shit and regretted it the next day, if you're one of these people then I need a little advice. I've only drank twice and on Sunday I got completely wasted at a party with a bunch of the other people I work with and between my WWI history lesson and bashing of the Mavericks I apparently told everyone how much I liked one of the other girls that we work with :drunk and I'm pretty sure she will find out soon if she hasnt already. Most girls interest craters when they know the guy can be had, and up until this point I was playin everything pretty well and was in control of everything but now I'm not sure where to go from here because this has never really been something I've had to deal with, so my question is am I pretty much done for or what? Suggestions?

It's not really true that "girls interests crates when they know the guy can be had". For one thing, most women will filter what somebody says when they're drunk.

Depending on what your exact words were, it would be a good idea to pre-emptively apologize to her if you got crude. If you didn't say anything bad, though, you need to make a move soon or she'll wonder WTF you're waiting for or figure you're just full of BS.

Do what I do - drink more. That way nobody will ever take you seriously unless you're emphatically clear that they should.

Tx, I had a similar experience to yours... one of the guys I work with decided to get wasted at our company's Christmas party and by the end of the night was telling everyone there how much he liked me. I could tell he was totally wasted so it was no big deal... the next time we saw each other he apologized very sweetly and all was forgiven. If you really like this girl you should go up to her sober and tell her. :)

Well she wasnt there, and thats probaly the worst part because now I have to decide: Do I keep going along like I have been and hope she didnt hear? Or do I just come out and tell her now, but I guess now is as good of a time as any.

"In control"? There is no control when it comes to relationships - or in your case, sadly pining.

"Oh my god - I like a girl and now she knows! Now she'll never want me!" Please. Just ask the girl out. Maybe the frankness will be refreshing.

Addendum: The drunken gushing is usually pretty harmless as long as both parties are single - and I'm guessing that applies here. Seriously though, just ask her out.

About a week ago I got drunk and posted in grammatically incorrect Spanish.

I regret the error.

I am the queen of drunken rants, especially "DWD" (drunk while dialing). Trust me, most people disregard drunken chatter. The folks who somehow think that "true feelings" emerge when you are drunk simply don't get wasted enough. Believe you me, there is no such thing as "true feelings" when it comes to one-night stands, after hours sex, etc.

I say ignore the whole incident and carry on as usual around her.
