Pistons president Joe Dumars confirmed he had interviewed Terry Porter (former Bucks coach) and Jim O'Brien (former Celtics and 76ers coach) for assistant-coaching spots on Flip Saunders ' staff.

The Pistons are looking to hire both, which would give the bench a lot of clout.

That would rock. We need some guys on the bench that aren't in Flip's back pocket.

TP should get a head coaching gig somewhere. Joe may be arranging his ducks just in case he needs to make a midseason change.

The assistant coaches are nice additions. Jim O'Brien could be as valuable an assistant coach as Del Harris is in Dallas.

Adding depth to the starting five (provided Ben re-ups) would be even better.

I will take almost any asst. coach addition to the Pistons as long as it isn't Gar freakin' Heard.

Those two should help and get more respect from the players.

I don't know - I think I'd rather have Gar Heard diagramming a game-winning play than Flip. :lol

I like it. The more options Joe has, the better.
