That 37% are delusional. I see nothing about that team that convinces me that they'll even come close to repeating.

I'm guessing the 30% in other is for the Spurs.

NBA.com has the worst fucking polls in the history of online polls.

I love how the Spurs don't make it to the finals 1 year, and they are completely out of the picture.

So when the Spurs are back into the finals in 07, I guess it will be a cinderella story.

If the mavs got to the finals this year with a young and inexperienced team than I don't see why they can't get their next year unless the spurs acquire a big time player. In particular on defense to contain Dirk and allowing Bowen to stay on Howard.

:rolleyes Your "inexperienced" team coughed up a 2-0 lead and committed one of the worst choke jobs in finals history. This was your teams best shot for a title. With all the bs you got away with in the semis (games 3 and 4 and the hack in game 7) it took you a 3 point play by Dirk and overtime just to get by us. You wont even be the 2nd best team in the west if Amare comes back healthy. Suns with Amare>>>>> Mavs and a Rejuvinated and Reloaded(We will make the right moves) Spurs team>>>>>>Mavs. Cant use that inexperience crap with Dirk either who was a scared pussy in the 4th quarter of game 6 not wanting to shoot the ball. The truth hurts!

Yep, their really young and 3/5's of their starting lineup (Diop, Harris & Howard) will be better players next season. Plus, the experience of losing so close to the finals will only drive them more. The Spurs are the only team that has a chance to come out of the west other than Mavs unless Amare comes back 100% which I highly doubt. Also, it sounds as if the Suns will be w/o Marion and maybe Barbosa next season (per trade w/Seattle). Looks like Rashard Lewis will be in Phoenix and while he's a good player, he's not going to be able to make up for the losses of Marion & Barbosa.

Gee, I think that other should be replaced as San Antonio as they were conspicuously left off the ballot.

according to cuban, what he said to stern is that the nba is rigged. So he lost the nba finals but only bat the spurs because the nba is rigged. I think stern likes cuban bringing attention to the game but is also annoyed by him. However, allowing cuban to says the nba is fixed isn't nice. Therefore, I think the chances of dallas winning the finals are 1%. Ofcourse this all hindges on cuban telling the truth that the nba is fixed.

So either the mavs lose or cuban is a lier.

Just for the record...Cuban never said the NBA is rigged...turns out the Miami Herald writer got his wires crossed... :sick

Why are the Spurs not in the poll? They have to be a favorite also...???

The Suns are gonna be sick next season, if Amare is healthy...:spless:

If they trade Marion and Barbosa, they are idiots...

I figured out why they didn't put Spurs and its pretty stupid. They only chose the 4 teams that went to the conference finals.

this poll was posted by a heat fan. So 1:) they weren't looking to add the spurs
2:) same poll posted by others that was complained about not having spurs and was mentioned only had team that advanced to confrence finals.

That's utterly ignorant and disrespectful as hell of those bastards to not explicity state the Spurs. Freaking Phoenix over the Spurs!? Don't mention Phoenix. The Spurs rolled them when Amare was healthy and Nash and his bad back were younger.

Gay poll.

This is what happens to team's fans when they get there the first time... all of a sudden it's an automatic that they're back. It takes a hell of an effort and some luck to get to the Finals, and I don't care who you root for - it's a pretty rare occurance. It took us 4 years to get back after the Spurs completely steamrolled the rest of the league, going 15-2 and setting an NBA Playoff record with 12 consecutive playoff wins. They were head and shoulders above the league, but shit happened and that core never made it back. Neither the Suns nor the Spurs are going to be scared of Dallas, and both are good enough to ensure a new West representative next season.

If the Kings get in the Finals the whining will be 10x worse than it was from Dallas. I can't go through another year of hearing Kings fans call themselves the Real Champions.
