The San Antonio Spurs announced today that they have traded the draft rights of Damir Markota to the Milwaukee Bucks for the better of Milwaukee's two second round picks in the 2007 NBA Draft. Milwaukee currently holds their own second round pick as well as the Houston Rockets second round pick in 2007.

Sounds like a pretty damn good trade to me. Top 15 second round pick in a year that promises to be a rather deep draft.

this will never happen but imagine if a team was able to trade picks for futre drafts and ended up with like half the picks for the draft.

I don't see why anyone ahead of time would want our pick since chances we don;t pick their player and they can get him because not drafted. So I guess maybe we have spys finding out what player teams want off draft waivers. That allows us to draft them and trade them for picks!

Lousy draft class and 59th pick didn't leave much to choose from. When you don't like what's left on the board, why get stuck with a mandatory pick if you can get rid of it and save the salary.

Most of those guys left out of the draft at the time we picked can be picked up for a song and put on minor league status or short term contracts to see if they work out--without making a big dent in our money situation.
