Yes, I know he's old.
Yes, I know his post season performances are questionable (read: chokes).
...but if we can't get Jeffrie, Cliff might be a nice 2nd option. He will come cheap, he can hit the 3, he can guard 3's, 4's and 5's. The only concern for me is his tendency to dissapear in the playoffs...but hopefully in a limited role he could contribute.
So for cheap, what say you?

I read the Nets are looking to re-sign him even after letting him go. just dropping his deal about half a million.

So for cheap, what say you?I say we have better luck finding someone elsewhere, too old and rusty to run a full season plus playoffs.

Hm, in that case nevermind.
I just saw the Nets declined on his option.

I wouldn't mind him off the bench.
Ya he's old, but still effective with the Nets. They even put him on Shaq for parts of there series against the Heat. He's basically wat we're looking for except he's old. And the the notshowingupintheclutchwhenheisneeddmost thing.

Interesting factoid: He's the last player to have played in the 80's still playing in the NBA.

Uncle Spliffy is still a fantastic post defender and can hit the occasional three.
I'd say that makes him about twice as good a player as Matt Bonner. :lol

This is true.
He needs to check his ego and sign somewhere.

Cliff Robinson has never met a rebound he liked. Actually, he just never met a rebound.

From what I've read elsewhere, he's staying with the Nets thru 2007 as they have agreed to restructure his contract.

wow. I loved Keon Clark's game.
Just think of Rasho domination near the rim. Now think the total opposite. Yeah, Keon Clark layed the hammer down on people.

You can't stay in the league if that's the sum of your game, and it was in his case.

Looks like Cliff is returning to the Nets -- just for less money.

Isn't the goal to get younger and not older?
