Okay, let's say I have a video, but all I want is the sound. Does anyone know of a program that can do this?

Final Cut Pro may be able to do that for you. Not too sure, though, I've only opened the program.

Adobe Audition can do it.

Audacity probably too.

I would also look into winamp.

If it's a .avi file, you can use Virtual Dub to demux it.

Go to File>Open and select your video file. Then go to File>Save Wav to rip the audio out into a wav file. If the wav file is too big, you can always compress/encode it into a mp3 file.

Hmm

I know you can rip vocals off a track and keep the instrumental. I don't know about video though, just get a microphone and record it. Mics don't pic up video. :D
