why no nazr articles?

seems odd there is no news about who is intrested in nazr if he was hoping to get a big pay day when he said no to our offer extension

Nazr is not the best center available. So before any team commits to him, they'll make sure they can't get BWallace or Przybilla.

Nazr is no one's priority.

As for Przybilla, people get excited about that which is new and about which they are not so familiar. They think that this new player will be more than the previous one when in reality he probably won't. They see somoene who they think will be something that Rasho was not-- aggressive dunker-- but ignore all those things he can't do well that Rasho did.

If Nazr would have played this entire season how he played against Denver and Seattle in last year's playoffs, he'd be looking at a $50-60M deal.

Now I can't imagine he gets more than the $30M MLE.

Cavaliers general manager Danny Ferry said there's no guarantee he'll use the mid-level exception this summer. There are only a few players that make sense for the Cavaliers, especially when it comes to the full mid-level.

One player that makes sense is 6-foot-10 Nazr Mohammed of San Antonio. He would be a perfect third big man on a contending team like the Cavaliers. However, he might want more than $5 million in the first year of his contract.

Detroit general manager Joe Dumars wants Wallace to return, but he won't jeopardize the team's financial stability to keep him.
"We have to wait and see what the sticker price is going to be," Dumars told the Detroit News.
The Bulls are one possible destination for Wallace, although the price-tag could turn Chicago more toward a less-expensive option like Portland's Joel Przybilla or San Antonio's Nazr Mohammed.

What I try to figure out is why anyone thinks Nazr would want to come back to SA? I think he is playing all nice because he does not want to look like he had any problems here. For everything that happened here, Nazr and Rasho had no problems with each other. In many ways, I think they felt like they were in the same boat- unsure about their minutes, never seeming to know what was going to happen game to game- what the rotation would be. I think somewhere Rasho and Nazr might both smile if the Spurs have trouble replacing them. :)

I was rooting for Rasho all this time, since I was of an opinion Nazr is not a talented player, or at least not a brainy guy. Nazr also wanted to give NBA market a try this year, so he obviously overrates himself. Overpriced Rasho was in play when playoffs started more than Nazr.

Nazr has no future with the Spurs, or has a cheap future. Either way he won't be a starting piece...never...ever. His entire season from start to finish (except that game with the Suns) was not satisfying. And, no, nothing wrong with being muslim. Rasho would then be more of a conflicted player, being Serbian Othodox, I would gather. Who cares? That guy who cares...is he sober?

Rasho has left for the money, Nazr will be leaving only couse of greed. Long live, Oberto, Javtokas, Big Ben and Scola!

The reason being is that chances are Nazr is gonna walk out via Free Agency.

According to this board the Spurs don't want him because:

-Had bad hands
-Needed to work on defensive rotations
-Needed to be smarter

There is also this theory in which that Pop doesn't play Nazr so that his value goes down so Nazr has no choice, but to coopearte with the Spurs or he won't get paid as much as he could.

He played pretty good the 1st game of the playoffs. Where the Spurs blew the Kings away. He had like 19 points and 15 boards. Then after that he was benched the whole playoffs.

He left since Spurs decided he costs too much money. Spurs did not want to pay him his contract to the fullest. Nazr was greedy, Rasho just wanted his promised money.
